it actually has turned out to be pretty good so far! The AP rates came out for our upcoming trip and we saved quite a bit of money! I booked our 2005 trip before the quote expired! It's just a Disney kind of day!

I just hope it lasts. DH wrote his parents an email today to say good-bye! It's sad that it has come to this; but after what his mother wrote he refuses to continue a relationship with them. They have been lying to him for 15 years. They don't respect him, me, or our marriage. They are tying to break up our happy home, and marriage so he will go back to being their little boy again. The one that would do whatever they want him to.

I don't know the story about your dh's mother but we have no contact with dh's parents and it has been the best thing! Not having contact is a very positive thing in our lives. Good luck to you.

Sometimes just making a decision and acting on it makes things easier. I'm sorry you and your husband have to go through this. Didn't those people ever hear of "forsaking all others" in the marriage vows? Sometimes it has to mean parents too.

Thanks everyone! I can't say that I am too heart broken! The IL's have been the black cloud for far too long! I lbelieve the good things happened today for a reason, too! A rainbow of hope that this storm of our life is over!

I know DH knows this, too. He says that he actually happier without them in our lives. Because of our strong family values we have cut them off before only to go back and try to make things work! Not this time; he's done with them for good. It's for the best! He'll have good days and bad I am sure; but he has a lot of support behind him!

Life may not be all smooth sailing; but if it was it wouldn't be worth the ride!

We've done the not speaking route with the in-laws before. It's hard and easy all at the same time. MIL has always been abusive, only now her son won't put up with it. And he puts me first which drives her crazy!
