Hello all and welcome to my SECOND PTR!

I was very nervous when starting to post on these boards but I've encountered nothing but wonderful DISers! I hope to hear from some returning commenters, as well as maybe some news ones!

So first a little background on myself! My name is Alexis :wave2: I am 26 years old and work full time doing finance/HR/customer service for a finance recruiting website (I wear many hats at my job haha).

Though I've always loved Disney, I didn't become a full on addict until the summer of 2012 when I took a day trip to Disneyland California with some girlfriends and got hit with the Disney parks bug! Since then I have done 2 WDW trips- one with DBF in January 2013 and another with my parents in October 2013.

My parents and I had such a great time in October that we have decided to go on yet another Disney vacation!

Here we are on our last trip:

We didn't have any other vacations plans together for this year so I convinced them in going one more time :goodvibes

I hope you'll all follow along with me as I share my plans for my upcoming November trip!

All subbed!

I'm looking forward to reading all about your plans and eventually the trip! Congrats again on having another trip set!

THE W'S

WHO: Myself, Mom & Dad

I am an only child and extremely close with both my parents. They are super excited to be going back to Disney and trust me to do all the Disney planning!

WHEN: November 8th-15th
8 Days, 7 nights. We went in October last year, which we absolutely loved and I cannot wait for my next chance to go back to MNSSHP! However, MVMCP is also on the bucket list so this time we are going for that! I planned the dates to also catch the tale end of F&W, which we also really enjoyed.

WHERE: All-Star Sports

I've stayed at Pop the last 2 trips. I love Pop! But I need to break out and try somewhere new. I would've loved to stay at a Moderate, but the price difference just isn't worth it to us. We won't spend a significant amount of time at the hotel, and Values are just fine to us.

As of right now we are staying at All-Star Sports. I chose All-Star Sports becuase it's the hotel that will most likely have a RO discount. Staying at All-Star Music is out because I heard the food court will be under renovation during our stay and that's a big con for us. I would love to stay at All-Star Movies but they don't usually offer discounts there. I know for the Aug-Oct RO discounts it WAS included, but who knows if that discount will be extended for November. The discount for Sports was also a tad higher than Movies, and any money saved is good for us!

We are missing FD by one day :( It was a little bit of a bummer but I didn't really want to change our days or do any split stays, so it is what it is.

WHY: Who needs a reason to go to Disney?! Well if we must, it's because we had so much fun on our last trip and want to do it again! The big draws for us are MVMCP, F&W and the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

HOW: We will be flying JetBlue. We flew JetBlue for the first time in October and were SO pleased with it- free baggage, snacks, TV and not to mention reasonable rates!

Those are the basics of our trip...161 days and counting! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great plan! I am hoping to make it to the MVMCP in 2015, as this is high on my list of things I want to do at Disney. :) I did MNSSHP in 2010 and loved it! :)

Thank you! I loved MNSSHP too, which is why I'm ready to take on MVMCP next! I do hope you get to go in 2015!!

Sounds like fun! I will be following along. I am also planning a November 2014 trip.

Flights are booked!

Room is booked! And hopefully sometimes in August I'll be calling in to apply a RO discount to that :)

ADRs are booked! Last trip we only had one ADR, but it was definitely the best ADR to have- Dinner at BOG! This trip we have bumped our ADR number up to 3! One breakfast and 2 dinners. And 2 of the 3 are character meals! Any guesses on what I've booked? 2 of the meals have been on my bucket list. The other I've always said I'd like to try one day but didn't think it was going to happen anytime soon. I was quite surprised when it was my parents who ended up pushing for that one!

Park tickets and MVMCP tickets have not been purchased yet. I'll be buying our park tickets through Undercover Tourist yet again. I'm thinking I'll purchase both sets of tickets sometime in July.

Memory Maker will definitely be purchased for this trip again. I know not everyone has been impressed with this lately, but we really got our moneys worth on our last trip. We took so many characters photos, not to mention stopped anywhere we saw a PP photographer! And having all our ride photos without having to decide if we wanted to purchase them seperately or not was great.

We will not be going to Universal this time. We had lots of fun when we went last year but it was also expensive. 1 day park hoppers + taxi to/from really adds up. I will miss riding Despicable Me and checking out the new Harry Potter additions, but we will be saving money here that can now be spent at Disney!

Yay for getting things booked! That makes the trip all the more real. :)

Ummm, let me take a stab in the dark at your ADR's with characters....Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's? Just a guess...those are two of my faves. ::MickeyMo pooh:

I'm joining!

Our dates are EXACTLY the same.

I planned around the last three days of F&W too. Which means our schedule looks like this:

November 8 - Epcot
November 9 - Epcot
November 10 - Epcot

:rotfl2:

We are skipping Harry Potter this time too. I REALLY want to go again and see the new area but it does add so much to the cost. Hopefully we will be able to check that out sometime in the next few years.

Yes! The minute everything is booked it's total excitement mode :goodvibes

Thanks for taking guesses ;) I won't reveal anything just yet!

Yay welcome! Hahaha that sounds pretty awesome to me! We are only doing one Epcot day so definitely going to have to make the most of it!

I would love to see the new area, the new ride looks like it's going to be amazing! I agree, hopefully in the future I'll be able to swing over there to check it out!

Hi Alexis! I finally made it back on the DIS and am slowly catching up everywhere. So happy that you are getting to go back again with your parents! Would you believe that Nov 8 -15 were my original fall dates? I was going to go that week but then my Mom decided she wanted to go and the only week she had available was October. Since I really didn't want to go on two trips three weeks apart, I pushed the Nov trip to December.

I'll take a stab at guessing the ADRs you have booked. For breakfast I'm going to say Crystal Palace. For the dinner Character meal I'm going to guess Chef Mickey's. As for the one non-character meal that's hard since there are sooooo many choices. I'm going to just take a stab in the dark and say Via Napoli. So am I any where close?

Hi! I read through your last PTR in a matter of hours and was happy to see you started another PTR!

Plans look great so far! My guesses for ADRs: ohana, crystal palace and 50s

Can't wait to read more!

Did you see this on the All Star Music page?

"The Intermission Food Court is scheduled to be closed 8/1/14-12/20/14 for refurb. A temporary grab 'n' go location will be available in the arcade, serving salads, sandwiches, desserts and refillable mug stations. The Singing Spirits bar will still be open, serving food and offering a refillable mug station. Guests will also be able to use the food court at All-Star Sports Resort, which was remodeled late last year."

When they renovated the AS Sports food court, they bused everyone to ASMu to eat. Looks like they are doing the opposite while the ASMu food court is closed. Just thought you would want to know this since it will make the food court at AS Sports more crowded.

Yay thanks for joining :yay: Wow how funny if we would've been there at the same time! Awesome that you have upcoming in trips in October and December though! You are definitely close with your guesses ;)

I did hear the news about the food court situation and thank you for pointing it out! It won't bother me if the food court is crowded as much as it would've bothered me if we had to travel to another food court to eat. We'll see what happens!
