I Think We Should Go Again! A Nov '14 PTR! *TR Link Posted 11/25!*

popcorn::

I have been sick for days and have nothing better to do than stalk the Dis, waiting to hear about your ADRs! lol.. :rotfl2:

Oh my goodness, Alexis, I'm so late!!! I didn't realize you had started a PTR until I saw the link in your signature today. So of course I'm subscribing because I don't want to miss any of the action!

I think a Christmas trip on the tail end of F&W will be such a perfect combo for you and your parents. So jealous that you will be getting to ride the Mine Train so soon...we can't wait to try it out but our next trip is sooooo far away. I will have to live vicariously through you for awhile. :rotfl:

Can't wait to see what ADR's you went with.

Definitely joining in to follow along with your planning. When I travel with my parents, they also leave all the planning up to me. :goodvibes

I've always been curious about a November WDW vacation. I'll be very interested to hear about your experience with both the crowds and the weather!!

Yay thanks for hopping over! I am looking forward to going at this time of year, and of course the Mine Train! And I'm glad you can live vicariously through me ;) I won't let you down!!

Thanks for joining! :wave2: I definitely don't mind being the Disney planner! Hopefully November is as good as everyone says it is!

Sorry for the delay in posting! Summertime gets so busy, which I don't mind because it keeps things exciting and makes Disney feel closer and closer! Last weekend Mom and I went to see Maleficent! We absolutely loved it and thought Angelina Jolie did a fantastic job :maleficen My BF and I also went to the zoo, which was so fun! Of course nothing like Animal Kingdom though ;)

Now onto the trip update! I think it's about time I announce my ADRs!

The first ADR of the trip will be...

I managed to get an 8:05 breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace for our first Magic Kingdom day! I am definitely very excited for this reservation because 1) We get to be in the park early 2)I've heard such good things about the food here! And of course meeting some characters isn't a bad thing either ;)

The second ADR of the trip will be...

Ohana  I have been wanting to go to Ohana forever and I'm so excited that it's finally happening! We are actually going here the same day as Crystal Palace. The park closes at 7 and we have a reservation at 7:50pm.

And our last ADR of the trip will be...

I really never thought Chef Mickey's would be an option for us. But when I mentioned it to mom and dad they immediately insisted that we go! They don't mind the idea of a buffet and would love to meet the fab 5 in their cute chef outfits (of course that's what I am most excited about!) We will be heading here on our last night of the trip for a 7:45pm reservation. I think this will be a really nice way to spend our last night!

Thanks to everyone who guessed, you all were so spot on! Everyone guessed Crystal Palace :goodvibes

That's all I have for now! This weekend I will be heading down to the beach for a few days with my BF, fingers crossed for good weather!

Until next time :)

Well two out of three isn't bad! :rotfl: I can't really comment on any of your choices because I have never eaten at any of them! Well I have been to Chef Mickey's but that was for breakfast and way back in 2010. Breakfast was very yummy so hopefully dinner will be too.

Yay! We do Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys every trip. We usually do breakfast and they are both great, and the characters are wonderful. I hope you have so much fun!! I haven't done Ohana yet, but it's on my list of things to do. :)

Exciting! We really enjoyed Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys.we are doing ohana for the first time this nov. too. :cool1:

Yay! I got 2 outta 3 also, and I was originally thinking CM's but didnt think you'd do 2 character meals, darn, shoulda stuck with my gut!! Love all those ADRs!! How fun!! :cool1:

We did CM's last time, but for breakfast. It is soooooo huge! SO. MUCH. FOOD. Yea, "its just a buffet" but they have some really yummy options and you can try all sorts of things, you will have to let me know how you like it for dinner, we had originally booked a dinner ADR but then changed it to bfast bc we love bfast food so much, lol.... :lmao:

We have Ohana and CP booked this time too, but its our first time for both. I almost canceled CP several times, because I just thought I had too many breakfast buffets, but I am so glad I kept it, park early will be great and I have heard so many good things, and that puffed french toast looks goo-ood! ;)

Yes definitely! I'm glad to hear breakfast was yummy, hopefully that a good indicator if their other meals :goodvibes

I'm glad to heard good things about CM's. I will definitely report back on my experience!

Oh yes definitely keep that CP ressie. Especially if you guys love breakfast so much! And yeah the puffed french toast just has me salivating :rotfl:

I saw Maleficent recently too and thought it was great! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Nice choices for reservations! I hope you enjoy them. It took me forever to get to Ohana for dinner and I'm so glad we did. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Day 1- Arrival Day!

We will be flying out of our home airport at 2pm, which is probably one of the latest flights I've ever departed on when leaving on vacation! We are an early rise type family, and originally planned on taking a 9am flight. However, our initial hesitation in booking caused the flight to go up in price. The price difference between the 9am and 2pm was significant enough for us to decide to just leave later. Our only plans for the day were to relax at the resort/go to the pool anyway, so getting there late will not really affect us too much. We will probably leave for the airport around 11am, and hopefully checking in will be as smooth as it was for us last year! The terminal was quite small with not much to do. We'll probably get something to eat or to bring on the plane with us and just chit chat and people watch until it's time to board!

If all goes well, we will be landing at MCO around 4:45pm! This time I will NOT get us lost and make sure I go the right way down to the Magical Express! :rotfl2:

Once we get to our hotel we will just check in, check out the resort, maybe go to the pool, and definitely get something to eat. Mom & I are salivating at the thought of finally having some Mickey Premiums, so I'm sure we will be getting those!! I've heard the other All Stars are walking distance from each other, so maybe we'll wander over to one to check out the fun decor (I'm such a sucker for that!)

I definitely want to make sure we get to bed at a reasonable hour to hit the ground running at our first park the next day!

Sorry this post was text heavy without any pictures. I promise it won't always be like this!

Hope everyone has a great week and enjoys the 4th of July! :woohoo:

I think you will like the more laid back approach to day 1. I always want to get there and then go, go, go but then I end up wearing myself down early in the trip. I tried to do a little later for my October and December trips but ended up with 10:30 flights both days due to prices. Still better than the 8 am I usually fly out but not as laid back as I wanted to be.

Plans look great! So nice to not have to hurry and worry about getting to the parks right away. I wish I was arriving and chilling, but not this trip!

I think we will like the laid back approach too, we definitely don't want to tire ourselves out too soon! I'm sorry you're still leaving early, but cheap rates trump all right?!

Thank you! I think our laid back first day will be a good decision, even though deep down I will wish I was at a park :rotfl:

Ah I'm the worst at staying caught up on the boards these days but I'm in! I'm so excited that you guys are going back in November!

I can't wait to hear all about the Christmas party!

Those are some top ADR choices! We LOVED Crystal Palace and Ohana--we're planning to go back to both! I really want to do Chef Mickey's too and it's just not gonna fit in again in January! The chef outfits are adorable!

Yay so glad you're here! :yay: I hope everything is good with you :)

Super excited for the Christmas party, though I don't think anything will compare to MNSSHP ;)

It's always good to hear positive things about restaurants. How exciting that you'll be eating at both again! One day you guys will get to Chef Mickeys!!

I somehow missed your most recent update so wanted to respond now. It sounds like you have a good plan for arrival day. Sometimes it's nice to ease into everything and just have a day to relax before hitting the parks. Definitely getting some Mickey food will get you ready for your week. :)

Day 2 - Epcot

Our first full day in Disney! We will be spending it at Epcot! Our day will be focused mostly on F&W. Since it is the second to last day of the festival and a Sunday, I am prepared for the crowds. But we really enjoyed the food last year, so if that's what it takes then so be it!

We will get to Epcot at rope drop and spend the first 2 hours doing some things in Future World. We will definitely head straight to Soarin to ride standby. After that we might check out Character Spot if the wait is low. I'm thinking of scheduling a FP+ for Spaceship Earth in the AM too.

We will want to be at World Showcase right at 11 and we will be starting on the Mexico side. Last year we started on the opposite end and by the end of the day we kind of rushed through the last few pavilions. This will ensure we get to spend time in those pavilions we missed! I figure we will just go through each pavilion and take our time looking around and snacking. I'd like to try and ride Gran Fiesta Tour and Maelstrom. Now that Maelstrom is no longer Tier 1, I'm thinking maybe scheduling a FP+ for this? My mom also really wants to meet Snow White in Germany. I don't think we will be meeting a lot of other characters in the pavilions, unless we stumble upon them with short lines.

I'm sure the pavillions will start to get packed as the day goes on, and hopefully by around 5:30 we will have made our way around and seen everything we wanted to. I definitely want to meet Duffy before his set ends! Last year we met him in his adorable pumpkin costume. I don't think he will be out in his Santa suit yet, but I'm excited to meet him in his regular sailor outfit!

After that we might check out the Visa M&G if we can make it before 7. Then I was thinking of scheduling my last FP+ for either Soarin or Test Track for 7-8pm.

But honestly, if we don't end up making it I don't think it will be a huge deal to us. I still haven't figured out if I will use FP+ on Soarin or TT. We will be riding Soarin at the beginning of the day, so a second ride would just be a bonus. None of us were super crazy about Test Track but Mom did mention she would like to ride it again, so I have to talk to them about that some more.

We also definitely want to try and stay for Illuminations this time. We really wanted to see it last trip but were just too exhausted to stay. Hopefully our day will be relaxed enough that we will make it this time!

Any thoughts on this day? I am prepared for the crowds but am I underestimating what we can get done in WS?
