I think we are staying at FW - first timer questions!

I am so excited, I casually mentioned to DH's aunt and uncle that some year they should drive their fifth wheel down to DisneyWorld for a vacation and we could join them. Well they said, how about July of 2002! So I guess that's the plan.

I've seen FW out the window of a Disney bus but never been there before.

A couple of questions - how far in advance should we book our site?

Can we request certain loops - if so which one should we request?

Do they ever offer discounts (disneyclub) or any good rates during July/August?

I read that you have to pay $2 a night for every additional adult - what age is considered adult?

Any other great tips I should know?

I'm sure I'll be visiting this board quite often between now and next year!

Hi! Congratulations! You will LOVE Fort Wilderness!

You can book your reservation anytime! When discounts become available, just call and have them apply the discount to your reservation. You can usually get an AP or Disneyclub or AAA discount a couple of months before. You can request a certain loop, and they will put the request on your reservation, but they won't guarantee it. We don't have a motorhome, so I don't know which loops are the best - but I'm sure somebody here will help out with that question!

Adults are over 18.

You will love Fort Wilderness! Once you stay there, other campgrounds just won't seem the same! You will become spoiled!
We stayed in a preferred loop. It offers water, elec, sewer and cable. The best point to those sites is that you can walk to the Settlement depot, Pioneer Hall, the petting zoo, and most importantly, the marina to catch the boat to MK!!!! I like the fact that you don't need to wait for a bus to take you to those places.
