We're planning our 4th trip to the World Apr. 27-May 7 (our AP expires on May 6th). Anyway, we've stayed at ASMo 2x before, so we know the layout, but our first trip was only me, DH and DD (3). Then we went in May with me, DH, DD (4), DD (14 mons.), my dad and mom. We had 2 connecting rooms there. We're going back in Dec. with me, DH, DD (4) and DD (21 mons.). We are staying at the WL as a splurge (can't wait!). Anyway, we will be staying 10 nights on the April trip. It will be me, DH, DD (5) and DD (2). Will we go crazy in only one ASMo room? I can't decide.

We want to go on the longer vacation, but can't afford a deluxe for that long. I've thought about doing a Wilderness Cabin, but am afraid we'll will loose the *magic* we have found at the ASMo. We actually really do like the place! It's so Disney! Thought about a moderate. The only one we will even consider is CBR. But I've heard so much negative lately. We've also considered doing ASMo for 6 nights and moving to Beach Club the last 4 nights.

Please chime in with any opinions.

I've heard lots of good things about the cabins. I think families put thier kids to be in the bedroom and sleep on the very comfy murphy bed. Plus, I would think with small children, the kitchen would be a must.

By no means would you lose the "magic" in a Wilderness Cabin. In fact, just being in the cabin itself is magical. FW is the best kept secret in WDW.

The cabins are large w/ plenty of room to move around. The bedroom w/ small children is a blessing. You can sit outside on the patio & relax. In my opinion having the full size kitchen is awesome. We don't cook all our meals there (we are on vacation, you know) but we do almost all breakfasts & many lunches when we are hanging by the pool. It justifies the cost of the cabins & also saves time in the morning if you are heading to a park.

We have stayed there for over 10 days at a time & I would never consider staying anywhere else for that length of time. You are not cramped in a hotel room & it feels like a resort type of vacation because of the relaxing atmosphere.

In FW you can rent paddle boats or canoes & bikes. They have a main pool & a small pool. Although the pools are not themed they are still fun for the kids. They have 2 general stores. There is a petting zoo. You can watch the water parade & see the fireworks at MK down at the boat dock near Pioneer Hall. They also have a nightly campfire & movie. Just taking a walk through the grounds is fun. They also have playgrounds throughout the "wilderness".

As you can see, we love FW. If you are going to spend the money on a deluxe then I'd go with FW. You won't regret it. I have never heard negative comments about it.

Thanks for the responses. I've leaned toward FW cabins and then away. Maybe we should just try them. My DD loves the ASMo, but would probably love the cabins also.

My kids are 5 & 2 and we just got back from 5 nights at ASMO(and 1 at Poly). I would have had no problem staying 10 nights at ASMO. In fact, I wish we could have. And this was after DH & I stayed at the Poly in July. As much as we love the Deluxe, ASMO has its own charm. I dont think we could get sick of it, and since we spend little time in our room, we have no problem with size. As long as its clean and comfortable, with great bus service, a food court, pools, and all that Disney theming, we are happy.
Good luck deciding! :)
