OK, i called and made my ressie today for a cabin, and i guess it doesn't really matter, but i would like to know. Are all the cabins in one general area? They look that way from what i can tell from the map that i looked at, but the lady on the phone told me that they were mostly in a general area, but there were several others scattered about the grounds. Is that true? I know that there are interal buses but the idea of having to get on a bus for everything doesnt really appeal to me. Looks like all the cabins are in the back of the grounds far away from everything.

There are 2 cabins in the 100 loop (next to impossible to get), but otherwise the cabins are all in one general area spread over several loops. The cabins have a pool and hot tub which are easily accessible. But for the most part the rest of the Fort's ameneties would entail a LONG walk, a bus ride, a bike ride or a golf cart ride. If you can bring bikes they are a great way to get around the Fort. The buses are not bad and we use them all the time. Otherwise, you may want to look into renting a golf cart. There is a golf cart FAQ thread here with good info on both Disney and off-site rentals.
