There is NO WAY any of you can get the 40% discount without the PIN. Some of you have wrote you got the code by just asking and others have said they got the discount by saying "i threw the post card in the garbage.".

When you call CRO, they look up your "household" to see if you have a code attached. Some of you may have the code XXX or XXX...it doesnt matter. If there is no code attached to your household...YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THE DISCOUNT.....let me repeat myself....YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET THE DISCOUNT.

So post all you want that "I GOT THE CODE".

NO PIN...= NO CODE.

Thank you, that is what I had thought too. I called DU TA today and she told me the same thing.

I didn't throw mine away - My dog ate my postcard.

Think that'll work?

Uhh... Faking it?

Right. Hey.. I understand how it's supposed to work - I know - I got a postcard.

But for fun and giggles, I called under my roomates name this morning - he doesn't have a pin or even a record at CRO. And they quoted me a 40% off rate when I gave them the three letter code with no PIN.

The problem is at the call center. The reps are not trained properly and it's wreaking havoc. Some people are getting the discount without the pin.

It's happening.

Believe me my friend did not have a CODE. She called all week and then it magically showed up?

:lmao: I'm sorry, but I have better things to do than sit here and calculate and make up a discount for the sake of braggin. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I don't know about that. Where there's this much smoke there's got to be some fire. It's clear that the CM's are very inconsistent on this (surprise, surprise), and I think some are clearly getting discounts without pins. I know I called yesterday & today and was given two TOTALLY different answers from CM's about what's available & at what price for my travel dates, and it's very frustrating. What I will NOT do is tell a CM I received a code, pin, whatever, when I didn't.

I think the point is, don't be surprised if you get a phone call telling you there was a mistake.

Same here my Niece....

and I actually didnt even call over and over again and ask.. my TA let me know about the promo and was able to get it for me.

Yep, you are right. Some of us have nothing better to do than sitting around posting that we got great vacation deals that we didn't.

You caught me! I didn't call and ask there was a code attached to my name and the CM said he couldn't find one but there was a code he could use for me. I also didn't get confirmation in the mail from Walt Disney Travel Company listing all the benefits of my MYW package because of course it is a figment of my imagination. Oh yeah, that $200 charge to my Disney Visa is also not real. I think I'll try using that excuse when I don't pay it. I'll tell Chase that some guy on the DISboards says I didn't really get that deal :rotfl2:

You got me!

However I am going to 'fake' my way right through my ten days in December any old way. :dance3:

I do promise you that I did not lie to get the deal or anything, it was offered to me by the CM AND if it should be revoked I WILL let you all know.

BTW, I never lie, I merely prevaricate. :woohoo:

If we were making up getting the 40% off with no PIN, why would we have stopped there? If we wanted to WOW the Disers, it would have made more sense to say "Hey I got 60% off, no PIN,no code!"

Many long terms Dissers have got the code and I am sure they are not all lying. You cant make a blanket statement like that. You are just going to get people very angry.

Just curious why you're so aggravated by this.. :confused3

Take a deep breath - it's not the end of the world.. :goodvibes

Dear KindaGoofy,

I saw your post and immediatedly called CRO and the results were:

Wilderness Lodge Woodsview Room

1 day MYW tickets
7 days of dining

$1617.00

Faking? I wish it been that hard. No problems just checked the dates and booked.

If you already have your discount why do you even care and why are you waisting your time calling up about it. I'm sorry but people like you piss me off. It's like you get a kick of trying to kill people's parade. I know damn well that there's a chance that I might not get the discount, but as of right now I am so let the parade continue. :dance3:

OP Chill out!
I hate how Disney creates these unfair "sales".
It just makes everyone crazy, including the CM's. Why don't they just advertise this to the general public?
And I bet there is NO WAY they will call you and take it back. No reputable company would ever do this. They want customers.

I can sort of see why.

I called 5 times last week and every time I was told I couldn't use the code, yet others are being allowed to use it.

It would save me over $1,000.

It's a bit frustrating.
