I grew up hating seafood when i was young. I thought it was all fishy tasting and gross and smelly and foul.
then at about 18 years old i had "properly prepared FRESH seafood" and it made all the difference in the world. Previous to that i had horrible trout or salmon that someone probably bought at the grocery store that had been there for weeks, or some gross rubbery shrimp that have been sitting at a buffet for hours and hours. Not so fun. When i was 18 i went fishing my uncle, he caught a fish called a sheephead, he marinated that day and were eating within about 4 hours after it was caught, while i was hesitant to try it, i finally gave in and it was NOTHING like the fish i had eaten before, it was delicious. I am a lot older now, and i eat seafood all the time, but i am selective about what i eat, i only higher quality FRESH seafood and its worth every penny. I have come to realize that Seafood or fish that "tastes fishy" is not good fish anymore, its too old. I wish it wasnt so, but almost anything i ever see at a major grocery store is bound to taste fishy, its just been out of the water for too long.

The reason i say this is i have heard Pete say " I dont eat Seafood" countless times since i first started listening to show a few years ago, yet he does like certain things. I just heard him say he LOVED a crabcake and would have eaten the whole thing. A person who TRULY hates seafood would never eat a crabcake and love it. And we all know you love your Lobster Bisque. I think you 'Hate' BAD seafood, and rightly so, but i think if you kept trying high end quality Seafood you will find more and more things you might actually like.

I know its none of my business or anything, i just love getting people who think they HATE Seafood to try some GOOD seafood and see if they still have the same opinion. I have converted quite a few people over the years now, it just takes some good Fresh quality seafood to do it.
