I think our AP expiry date is incorrect- should I care?

So, I am just looking for confirmation that I have this planned out correctly even with this little wrench that I discovered. We purchased our APs last year on December 12. 365 days with the leap year this year would have them expiring on Dec. 11, I thought. However, the email I received today said they expire Dec. 10. I'm not sure whether this matters, as we have Parksavers tickets we were planning to upgrade to the DVC AP renewals on Dec. 11 when we arrive. The tickets are linked and we have FP, etc. set up with them already. With the expected expiry date of our APS on the 11th, we wouldn't have had to use the tickets at all to enter the park and would just have used our APS to go to guest relations and do the upgrades.

I am a bit nervous that I'll muck something up with the timing, though. Is my plan feasible- even if the APs expire on the 10th (not sure why, if they do), can we go to GR either on the 11th or the 12th and enter using the Parksavers tickets, then upgrade (price bridge) to the renewals? Or is it better not to use the PS tickets before upgrading, in which case I would need to address the expiry date issue, correct?

I hope I'm making sense. Any help is appreciated :)!

Your anniversary date should be one year from the same date that you ACTIVATED your APs.

If you picked up the APs at a ticket booth or Guest Relations on Dec. 12, 2015,
they should be valid through and including Dec. 12, 2016.
(You do not compensate for "leap year.")

Regardless, you can use the Parksavers tickets to help pay for your AP renewal,
and you do not need to use those tickets before doing so (although you CAN, if you like,)
and the PS tickets will be price-bridged in either case.

If your AP anniversary date is incorrect and you want to get it fixed (so that you will be valid through Dec. 12, 2017,) the Guest Relations CM can look at your activation date from a year ago and fix that date for your APs, if you like.

You should not worry about YOU mucking something up, if the CM who issued the AP made an error in the date.
These kind of CM errors in AP dates are very common, and are fixed all the time.

i'm with @Robo if you think it's the wrong date, when your at property and renewing, ask them to look it up first so they can adjust it when they give you the 13 month renewal with this current promo going on.

Yep. OP they are good 365 full days on a normal year; 366 full days on a Leap Year. :)

A one-year AP is actually valid for 366 days in a normal year, and 367 days on a leap year (if purchased before Feb. 29.)

Two of the four times I've upgraded to an AP the expiry date has been wrong. But not by days, it was off by years.

It was a quick fix.

Thank you so much, everyone! These were our first APs, so I wasn't sure if I had this planned correctly with regards to the renewal/expiry dates. It's a relief to know that this is somewhat common and an easy fix.

I was mostly worried that by using our Parksavers tickets to enter the park in order to get them to both correct the AP dates and upgrade the tickets to the renewals, we would have difficulty as the tickets would have been used. I understand now that they can be used and not affect the upgrade at all.

Is the expiry date fix something they can adjust over the phone, by any chance? These are DVC APs.

You might be able to do that, but there's no real reason to do so, since you need to go to a ticket booth or guest relations to do the renewal, anyway.

The only thing that might be affected would be if you want to make advance FP+ reservations on a date that is not included as part of your current AP.

Thank you again! You are always so helpful on these threads, it's really appreciated :).

We do have multiple FP reservations for the dates after the expiry; however, I had linked the PS tickets and used those to do the selections. I'm assuming that will work even with upgrading and those won't be lost once the APs are renewed by bridging the tickets?

Yup.
All that is needed to book FP+ is any valid tickets.
The FP+ made with them will remain, even if you upgrade those tickets.
