I think my oldest daugther will be grounded forever* we're back

I'm glad that she's ok! Sounds like she was being a typical forgetful teenager.

On Facts of Life when Tootie (what a name!) always said "There's gonna be TTTRRROOOUUUBBBLLLEEE!!!"

Three cheers for Serena for being a great Mom.

Deep breaths....a glass of wine (or seven)...

Glad this turned out well...for you, anyway! ;)

Serena,

First off - I'm so happy that she's ok!!

Secondly - Whoever posted about waiting until tomorrow to dole out the punishment was speaking very wisely.

Our DDs are the same age and from personal experience - I am a total hothead and speak without thinking. In the past I over-disciplined (by this I mean grounding, taking away privileges, etc.). I would cool down and realize that I went overboard, but wouldn't reverse the punishment.

I have since learned to wait until I can calmly discuss the situation with my DH and come to a reasonable and suitable punishment.

Thirdly - I wish you could have just a little peace and calmness, Sweetie.:(

Pam

Thank goodness she's okay
Now you can get down to business on punishment..;)

She's dressed up in costume tonight. Pinnochio.

She lost her cell phone in the back of some strangers truck.

But I will give her this at least, she did call me when she was supposed to.

Ummmmmm......... has her nose grown extensively since you last saw her??;)

It's good that she is safe & home again with her Mum:(

That was real scarey back there when you said you had no idea where to find her:(

Why is that us Mum's always seem to hit the panic button & think the worst, when all along there is a logical explanation for what happened;)

*gulp*

Is it just me or is anyone else wondering what she was doing in the back of a stranger's truck???

I imagine she has lots of questions to answer for her Mom!

She finally came clean with everything. She's still in big trouble, and apparently her boyfriend is too because he lied to her about some arrangements he supposedly made with his mom.

I don't want my dd to be a teenager.:( Laurie, you're a good mom.:) I don't see how you're still sane.;)

At the moment I'm not sure I am sane. I mean no one in their right minds can deal with teenagers. Right?

Some days I think I'm doing something right, other days I know I'm screwing up.

I have two teenage boys - it's the oldest one who doesn't seem to have a "clue". I've said many times that if babies came with instruction books, we'd read ahead and not have them!

I'm glad she's OK. Cell phones can be replaced.

{{{HUGS}}} Serena. She is safe, that is the main thing. If she is grounded for life, so be it. At least she is safe.
