I think I've settled on restaurants...

Hi all--

We're making our first trip in November, 5 nights with dining plan. We're staying at the POP. I've reviewed the menus and the ratings, and here's what I've come up with:

Concourse Steakhouse -- Dinner
Teppanyaki -- Dinner
Goofy's Buffet at Liberty Tree Tavern -- Dinner
Crystal Palace -- Dinner
Princess Storybook Breakfast -- day we check out

I've not decided what days the dinners will be on. Since they're all MK and Epcot, it doesn't really matter.

Staying at the POP, how do you recommend getting to dinner. Do you recommend being in the park nearest the restaurant for the afternoon? How much time should I allow getting to the restaurants from the POP if we leave from there?

And with girls ages 3 and 5, what mealtimes would be best -- crowd-wise and to make the most of park hours? They don't eat a whole lot no matter what time of day, so I'm not too concerned about the reservations being too early or too late. I mainly want to be as efficient as possible.

On the day of checkout, I want to do the storybook breakfast at Epcot. How do you recommend the timing of that one? Will the hotel hold our luggage until we're back as long as we are checked out of the room so they can get it ready for the next person?

I stayed at the POP and I suggest that you go to whatever park during the day, go back to the POP to freshen up and change, and then go to your ADR. :)

On the day of your last breakfast, I suggest going to the breakfast and then taking care of all your luggage and stuff afterward as long as you have enough time.

Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Check the schedule for Extra Magic Hours. If they are in the morning, go early. If they are at night, stay late. Go back to the resort at mid day for a nap and/or swim. If they nap, the girls will be good for the evening EMH--the parks basically empty out!

I'd re-think Concourse. We had much better food at Les CHefs de France, Le Cellier, and Coral Reef (all of which have steaks). If you want something not in a park, think 1900 Park Fare for characters or one of the DTD restaurants.

As to transportation, go to the park nearest to the restaurant and take the monorail from there (to the contemp/poly/GF). At check out, it depends on your time schedule. The bellman will be happy to pick up your luggage before you leave for breakfast and hold it for you. If you are doing ME on a participating airline, you can just check it in before you leave the room. Alternatively, if you have time to have breakfast and get back to the room before check out time (without rushing), you might want to do that. You never know when someone will spill all over an outfit, and having access to your luggage might be nice.
