I "think" I've found the Kool-Aid tree!

hmmmm I just read your other thread...

We had a Mt. Laurel outside the office of my last job - it really smelled more like grape koolaid to me.. but then the flowers were purple... :rotfl2:

Maybe red ones smell like cherry?!? :confused3 :rotfl:

It is a WONDERFUL smelling tree - and VERY pretty!!! I'd like to get one for our yard!

Had a feeling it could be the laurel. I have 2 outside my window and the smell is wonderful. There are many varities of laurel but I think the mountain laurel is the most fragrant.

After thinking about it, I decided it could very well be grape Kool-Aid after all. But Kool-Aid for sure. Sad news though - no nursery in my area has these things in stock. :sad2:

That's too bad - What state are you in? Seems like they have them all the time down here at the nurserys...

Googled texas mountain laurel, it's only hardy to zone 8. Grinning Ghost, where do you live?
