I asked in the summer what to do about a fear of flying. Well nothing seems to work for me and this year I'm going on a four hour flight to Mexico. Which means I have to cross over water, and for me that makes me even more nervous, and last summer going to Florida and coming home I had a few panic attacks and once caused me to stop breathing.

I'm getting really nervous...what should I do?

bring a cd player...don't sit by the window...bring a book or something to get your mind off of it.

I have a HUGE fear of flying also. Even just THINKING about flying and being in the air, I get panic attacks also and completely lose it. What I do is force myself NOT to think about it. I block it out of my mind completely, even while being in the air. Just don't think about the *bad* things that could happen. Hopefully that could work for you.

Don't be frightened. I bet that when you first went on a Disney ride you were nervous, right? If the plane has a TV on it, watch that. Usually I get sick on my stomach when I read or write on a plane. It's a good idea, if you are scared, not to sit beside the window because if you look out at the water you might get sick on your stomach or you might get so nervous and jittery that you get sick on the plane. If you have butterflies in your stomach or are really nervous put some bubblegum or a mint in your mouth. It might sooth yourself. Okay, for the entertainment to make you not think about your worries: take a gameboy, magnetic gameboard, or something that you think is really fun! Or you might want to sit back and relax with a pillow that they give you on the plane. Talk to your family or friends about something on the plane to make you stop thinking about your worries. Or keep piching yourself on your arm because it will make you not think about your stomach or worries. But the most important thing to do is pray to God. He will make your worries go away. Always remember that! I hope my advice works and if it does please write back and tell me!

I would bring CD-players, magazines and books. Also think about ur trip..it will keep your mind of flying.

I hate flying:( Ever sice 9/11/01 I won't go in anything that gos in the air.

I love flying. Been doing it since I was really little. Yes, b/c of earlier events I was a bit apprehensive to fly, but everything turned out alright.

You can be scared of many different things or you can go out and do everything you want to do. Just think about your destination. Flying is safer than driving.
