I have been kicking this around for a long time; trying to justify paying so much for a tea party. DD is 4 and I'm sure she would love it. But the cost keeps haunting me. But then I think about how long it took to have dd ( 6 years and 4 rounds of IVF) and about $200,000 just to conceive her! So in that perspective it doesn't seem like much. I think this would be a great mommy/daughter thing to do; I'm not even inviting DH.

So could someone just push me a little bit and get me across the line??

I've seen this tea in action at the Grand Floridian, and you can't even imagine the feeling and the looks on peoples faces when the little girls get announced and walk the rose petal lined path into the tea room. They (and the parent) are treated like royalty. princess:

It really does look like a very special event for a mother and daughter to experience together.

Go for it! The memories will be worth it alone, and to me four years old seems like the perfect age!

It sounds like something you and your daughter will never forget!

I had my daughter (17) go as the adult and take my niece (4). I was able to be there at the very beginning but I had another one on the pirate cruise so I only watched from afar.

I too struggled with the cost of the event but oh wow it was awesome. They went on what would have been their Grandma's bday (she had died a few years prior) and my push over the edge was I knew if my mom was alive she would have been on that trip with us and she would have insisted we done it.

So for you I think the whole it took a long time and alot of effort to have your DD is reason enough!

I still have the pictures set out of my niece from that event - they were that good!

I am really glad to see this post. I am thinking of doing this with my DGD. She is 4 and a very mature four. :) I too am having trouble justifing the cost. I would love to read more from DISers who have attended. Anyone out there that would like to share for those of us who are considering.

Definetly do it!

I toyed with doing it with my DD, who will turn 3 during our trip this September. She is a VERY ACTIVE little girl though. And even though "I" would love do it with her. I know she would enjoy being at the MK more. Hopefully when we return next year and she's closer to 4, we'll be able to enjoy it then.

BTW, we seen the girls going to it last year when DS was on the Pirate Cruise. The little girls looked so happy.

My sil and I took our dd;s 6 and 4 at the time and it was an awsome experience. Their is enough going on to keep the kids attention and they get so much attention for the cm. I would do it again in a heartbeat even with the expence. The look on my dd face when she was rocking her babydoll with the Princess and dancing around the room, when she found her braclet and baby doll, and when the princess handed her her own special rose. They thought it was great pouring their own tea! even. Then after the teaparty they go upstairs to get their best fried certificate and the mom get their scrapbook kit. Everything was so cool and magical about it. She liked it better then Alice's Tea Party. She liked the grand adventures in cooking alot but said this was 100 times better. She liked even better then crt although she loved that too.
