Looking for advice..... my daughter is sick of me talking about it and basically says anything is fine..... DD17 and myself (single mom) going for 7 days in June. She is a plain eater. I'm trying to maximize the DDP..... We used it 6 years ago and I remember having to run around to ressies, fight parade routes etc so, really want to try and avoid that but, also want to try and maximize the bang for the buck (as they say). Wed 6/6 HS is closing early so, there will only be the 2 parks open until 9 and 10. Figured I dont want to head back that way if I dont have to. We are staying at the POP and plan to do HS with the EMH. The question is what next? I have one TS still to use. I was thinking of doing B&C icecream for lunch and then House of Blues DTD for early dinner. This way we can hang by the Boardwalk and DTD and then bus back to POP. Other option is to do early lunch ( thinking maybe scifi, we did it before but that was 6 years ago) and then not worry and do CS or whatever for dinner ( either Pizza or one of the DTD CS). We really can hop a bus to any resort from HS for lunch or even perhaps EPCOT and then walk to Boardwalk??? THought the idea of hitting B &C early would help. Dont want to have lunch there, will do OOP for ice cream. Not sure if I want to go back to a park just to eat.....Thanks in advance for your thoughts. I keep changing my mind

My DD, 10, loves scifi diner. The foods ok, but I have to say I love the Oreo cookie milkshake.
But the the B&C is good also.
I think I would stay at the park and enjoy the park and then go to DTD.
Do you like HS? I think that is what everything hinges on, how long you want to be there.....

Thanks, we will only be at HS for a few hours that morning. We will have been there a few days prior in the afternoon with a Mama Melrose Fantasmic pkg.
We like the EMH so we get to do a redo a few favorites before the crowds really pick up. That's why I was thinking we would probably be done there by around 11. We could do lunch at Prime Time? But like Sci FI, we have done it before (even though it was 6 years ago and my daughter doesn't remember too much). If we use our TS for lunch,it gives us much more flexibility for the rest of the day and there are great CS options at DTD.However, ice cream sundaes for lunch from B &C sound great too. Also, there's Ragland Road DTD that has gotten good reviews as well. Could do dinner there instead of HOB. Whats a girl to do

I love B&C!! That sounds like a good idea also.
It's tough with so many decisions. I go through the same thing. I agonize over the decisions, with barely any input. But I have to say, no one ever complains. Thank goodness!
Back to your original post, I've read some great reviews about the t-rex restaurant at DTD, that could yet be another option.........:lmao:

. . . I think I need an intervention or as my DD17 would say,"step away from the computer" . . .

1) You daughter might have a point.
2) But, tell her other things must be considered.
. . . would the iPad be invented if Jobs stepped away?
. . . would Windows be invented if Gates stepped away?
. . . would the Internet be invented if Al Gore stepped away?
3) So, when planning for WDW, no amount of labor is too small.

What about dropping one of your current 1 credit ADRs and using those last 2 credits for a signature restaurant?

If you don't want to spend the entire day at DHS then I'd save the TS for something better. Grabe a CS lunch from Starring Rolls. They have really yummy sandwiches.

If you are leaving the park in the afternoon, then the Boardwalk will still be very quiet. Not much to see till evening.

Why not go to DTD after DHS. Walk over to the Boardwalk, grab an icecream, then hop the bus to DTD. Make an ADR at Raglan Rd- you won't be sorry. Then spend the evening shopping. What teen girl wouldn't like that? Then splurge on a shared chocolate sundae at Ghirardelli's :cloud9: before heading home to your resort.

I would go to Trex or Rainforest( before scifi or primetime) if she has never been there, they are on the dining plan this year, my kids request them every year.

We prefer HOB to RR. A lot of people like RR though. I don't know why we've had meals that weren't very good there twice. :confused3 We've never had a bad meal at HOB.

I just love your sense of humor ;)
