I think I made a really stupid mistake RE first reservation

Just wanted to update that I spoke with guide yesterday, he re wrote the contract and my 2009 points are there now. However the reservation I made two days ago is gone. I will call tomorrow to make sure it is actually gone and just not showing on the site and make a new reservation. Which is fine since hubby decided after I made that first one that he wanted to try a different resort so if we can get it we will be changing anyway.
 
We also bought with an Aug UY and got the 09 points as incentive but I wish I had bought more now. Did I read it correctly that this will be an ongoing incentive and when I DO add on (since addonitis has already set in) I will be able to get the 09 points again? Does having 2 different UY's make things more difficult or better? :confused3


You received 09 points because your Use Year of August is still within 2009 Use Year (from 8/1/2009 - 7/31/2010) If you purchase an add-on contract from Disney before your 2009 UY ends on July 31 2010 you would also receive 2009 UY allotment of points with that add-on.

If you want to purchase an add-on directly from Disney with a different UY month than what you own now it would be treated as a new contract so you would have to purchase the minimum number of points that Disney requires of a first time purchaser at whichever resort you happen to choose; to be an add-on the contract must have same UY as your first contract and then you can buy as little as 25pts with cash or 50pts if you want Disney's financing.

Don't forget to bank those 2009 points ASAP. You want to use those first before using 2010 and borrowing from 2011.

Your Guide should restore your reservation and bank your points for you. If he/she doesn't, I would get a new Guide.

Well the guide fixed the points but not the reservation. I am ok with that since I wanted a different reservation anyway. Our guide has been great, when we toured we spoke with a different guide and signed up with him. However I had been emailing before our trip with another guide so we were assigned to the one we emailed with. He was great in fixing the mistakes that were made by the guide we met with onsite so he get an thumbs up in my book so far!
