Each trip I liked to try new Disney resorts, until we tried POFQ in September 2010. This resort is beautiful. I will never stay anywhere else. You can walk to POR if you want. POFQ is so much smaller, everything is closer to the main building. In POR sometimes you can have a hike from your room to the restaurant, etc. If you want my vote, I say move your reservation to POFQ.

Just got in today from one week FQ. We loved it mainly for its compact size. We saved alot of time. Though i would say our kids loved the pools Riverside better and said next time they want to stay there. i would think about how much pool or resort time you are planning. If youmare planning on everyday hours at the pool, riverside. But if only a few times do,FQ and take the boat over. That is fun too.

We thought when we first saw riverisde , wow is is nicer, but also thought it suck to be in a blg so,far out. Riversife is spread out, Fq not. FQ is a 5 minute walk max from/ to everywhere.

I LOVE POR. It's a bit more spacey than POFQ and you can always just head over to POFQ if you like.

The pool area is better, IMHO over at POR and if you don't like the hustle and bustle of the Island where the pool is, there are 7 quiet pools to choose from. Also, the food court is bigger and you have a TS restaurant in Boatwrights.

We've stayed at POFQ twice and LOVE its small size. However, the pool at POR is much more exciting. Our kids (ages 2 and 4) even loved the waterslide and pool at POR more. We walked over there each day to use it (allowed between the 2). POR is beautiful but HUGE.

I loved the calmness of the resort. It is beautiful. POR and POFQ are connected, so you could always go visit POFQ to check it out!

POFQ is smaller if that is something you are looking for. POR is very spread out.

With the ages of your boys, I don't think it matters. Both resorts have great pools. I think POR has the better food court.

I think POR is an excellent choice!

Ditto. Bear in mind that as small as POFQ is, you may not be ABLE to change as it may be booked.

Actually the main pool at POR was a negative for us last year. We tried to use it and we could barely even get into the pool deck. It was so crowded and there certainly was no place to put our stuff, definitely no place to sit down. And we had hiked about 10 minutes to get there. The kids didn't even want to go in so we left.
After that, we used the small, plain pool nearer the room. We decided to try POFQ next time if we did Mod again.

When we've stayed at CR, eventhough there is only one pool, it was much less crowded (same week one year apart.)
