In Sept. we are celebrating my parents 45th anniversary at Disney. There will be 9 of us:
M&D
Older DB & His DD (8)
Younger DB, DSIL, their DD (3)
DH & Me
Hubby and I arrive on the 7th, the rest of the family arrives on the 9th. DM and I have been planning this for over a year. (Ok, I obsess, Mom nods her head a lot
)
We will be at the BCV for 5 nights with 2 nights at the Dolphin before everyone arrives and 1 night after the family heads home.
Here is where we are planning on eating. (warning, it is long!) We are not on the DDP, but we do have the DDE card.
Friday Sept 7 - arrive at MCO at 6:15. Plan is to get our luggage, rental car and check into the Dolphin. Depending on mood, either sushi snack or something at Epcot (CS)
Saturday
Breakfast Burgers! Ok, that is what we call them. Cosmic Rays starts serving burgers around 10:30 am. The toppings bar is untouched
(yes, I am one of those)
Dinner - Kona Cafe - must have mahi mahi!
Sunday
Breakfast at Kona Cafe. Yes, I know we were just there. But only day this really fits into our family schedule! French press coffee for hubby and tonga toast for me!
Lunch
depends on if and when we are hungry. Also checking out of the dolphin and into the BCV. We have a 1 br villa and a 2 br villa reserved.
Dinner - the rest of the family fly in and land at 4:00. I have them on DME so they don't have to deal with luggage. We have a 6:15 ADR at Cape May. I have always wanted to try this place and Dad loves this type of food. So hoping it is a hit. After dinner, I have booked an Illuminations cruise for the family. Illuminations is our favorite!
Monday
MK Morning! Breakfast in room.
Lunch - CP lunch with pooh and friends. Mom loves this place. Have had great character interaction. Will be DN 3 first character encounter. Hoping for the best!
Dinner - No clue. Younger DB and DSIL are going out for dinner at WGP and dancing at PI. She turns 30 right before they leave. I get to steal their DD for the night!
We willl either do B&C or maybe something at MK. Depends on what the rest want to do. Other DB may want to go clubbing. So I amy get to steal other DN!
Tuesday
MGM day. DB & SIL can sleep in. We are taking little one after breakfast in room to MGM. Do the kid stuff. They are meeting us at 11:30. The grandparents have a special lunch planned with each girl and their parent(s). Today it is the youngest one's turn at H&V for lunch with JoJo and friends. No clue where DH & I will eat. We have ADR's at Sci Fi, but may cancel. Other DB plans on water park this day.
Dinner - everyone is on their own. DH&I are going to eat at LTT and then meeting Snowdrift7 for a Wishes Cruise.
Wednesday - Breakfast in room
Lunch - DN8 is having lunch with the princeses in Norway. We have a princess dress for her and I plan on putting curls in her long hair. (Our own version of BBB) So that will be the morning
Other DB & SIl & DN3 are planning on spending the day at AK. It is late EMH there so we plan on heading over around 3 for the afternoon and evening. We will eat at Flame Tree Barbeque...yummmmmmm!
Thursday - Last full day for the family!
Lunch is at Coral Reef with personalized menus. We were not able to get the diver. But M&D will never know. They will be thrilled with the menus.
Dinner everyone is on their own.
Friday - Character breakfast at Cape May. The family will be getting a towncar back to the airport for their flight. Hubby and I will check into the Dolphin for our last night.
The plan is to see whatever we missed during the week. La Nouba at night then Raglan Road for our last dinner. Our anniversary was at the beginning of August and this is our anniversary trip too.
I tried to plan a little something for everyone on this trip. Some new places and some old favorites. I scheduled a mix of planned family meals but hopefully enough down time for each family to be able to do their own thing.
I am hoping to have pics and write a review when we get back. Love to hear what you think of our plan
