Hi all! I think I have finally got my plans in order for my neice's sweet 16/first trip to DL. If you have any suggestions or improvements, PLEASE don't hessitate to tell me!

It will just be her and I, and I know how to work the parks. We are staying at the Super 8 on Katella from March 12-15. We will have 4 day park hoppers and want to get the most out of them we can.

We land in SNA at 9:15am on the 12th and I plan on taking a cab to the hotel, to maximize park time. Check in to hotel and be at the parks by 11am is the goal!

I'm still not sure if I want to start out in DL or DCA since it's Saturday of Spring Break and there will have been MM that morning. If we start in DL we will get SM passes 1st and then her birthday button. We plan on staying until midnight and getting up for MM on Sunday (there will be a time change so it will feel like 6am:scared1:)

I plan on us going back to the hotel for a nap on Sunday afternoon and hitting the parks again until midnight.

Monday we'll be there from 8am to 11pm, another nap if I can talk her into it.

Tuesday I have PS for Minnie's during MM hours so we can hit the parks and go all day until it's time to catch our flight at 7pm.

What do you think? Any way to make it more special for her? Thanks!

What an awesome Aunt you are! I guess I would decide what night show you want to see and go into that park. I would assume you aren't trying to do WOC the first day unless you are doing a picnic lunch. I would start at DL since DCA will have lots of construction walls and you want to have a magical start to the trip.:wizard:

I think you're right, there is nothing more magical then walking down main street. I am thinking F! the first night, WOC Sunday night and fireworks Monday night. I want her to know where the music is from when watching the fireworks.

I'm thinking about Disney 365 for a make over for her, do you think that's a good place for a 16 year old?

16 and 365? Does she still like dress up and playing with makeup? I'd give that a maybe. but maybe not something she would do unless messing around with friends.

I'd wait on getting that Birthday Pin/Button. City Hall is jammed with people coming in the park. Be patient about getting it, she can wear it the whole trip if she'd like, not just on her birthday. Either ask when you buy something, they may have one behind the counter at a CS place or retail locations. Or get one when you go into DCA. Thier guest service line is very short.

I agree, start at DL.

And I may be alone in this...but I really think you should try and get a bday button 1st thing!:thumbsup2 It's just a cute, special way to let everyone know that she's celebrating something special. IMO, definately worth any wait to get it and I've heard that they can run out of these buttons on busy days. So maybe getting it 1st thing wouldn't be such a bad idea.;)

I would also say no to the makeover idea. It wasn't THAT long ago that I was 16 and really, the last thing I wanted was a makeover....but maybe you're neice would like that? :confused3

I would just plan a special dinner out on her bday. That is if you're going to be there on her ACTUAL bday. They also have cute bday Mickey Mouse ears that you could get to commemorate the trip.:wizard:

I think you're right. I really do want her first impression to be main street. I was just concerned since it is spring break and the park will have been open at 7 for MM and 8 for everyone else so at least 3 hours before we can get there. I am making her a shirt that announces it's her sweet 16 as well, with her favorite character, Tinkerbell!

Also what day and time would be best to see Tink? That was her first request was to see Tink.

Thank you all!

Pixie Hollow can get a solid line so like anything get there when it opens or at the least wait until a week day.
