According to AG PLaythings, if you use the word
husband in your title, it is not only insensitive but "espouses intolerance" and shows "a deep disrespect for and lack of understanding of AGPT's mission and members." In other words, it doesn't respect the diversity they seek so desperately to promote b/c not everyone has a spouse, much less one of the opposite gender.
The original thread was a positive one where the OP was praising her husband for being "trained" in AG and asked others to share positive stories about their families. It had great potential to be a wonderful thread. After being immediately harrassed for using the word "trained" (that's for dogs, don't you know?) OP changed it to "learned", then finally to "experienced" (I think) in an effort to please. That's when the rant began about how insensitive it was to use the word
husband and I finally got frustrated enough to jump in. By pointing out on the thread, which BTW had already been so badly hijacked in an attempt to intimidate the OP and others, that I was on a doll board to discuss dolls instead of lifestyles, I was told I was guilty of "disruptive posting" and a "thinly veiled personal attack" on the resident bullies. The thread was locked and I was banned.
I'm still a member of other doll boards, and mostly only posted on secondary market threads there anyway so it's not like I've missed AGPT any.
