I *think* I did good? CSR (update question)

I needed (okay, wanted) to get rooms booked so that when AP rates come out, I at least have rooms. Then if I can afford to upgrade to a deluxe, I will. But I called and made ressies for our family of 6 for 11/25-12/4. The CM I spoke with (he was AWESOME! The best yet!) searched different dates and different resorts for me. I did not want the expense of a suite and hubby did not want a cabin. So he found me two rooms at CSR, water view for $2349.00 That is room only with an AAA discount. He said because of the ages of the kids, they would guarantee connecting rooms (yeah right!) Looking at disney site, I calculated a rate of $3240. So AAA would save us almost $900 on room only! Not sure how much I would get off with an AP rate. I would love to get $101 off a room at WL or AKL! Then it would be minimal cost to go from a mod to a deluxe. Right now there are no WL or AKL rooms with AAA yet. Should I keep trying?

***Okay, so that rate was calling WDW direct and asking for an AAA room only rate. So I called AAA and had them figure in the package. I will pay $38xx for the 2 rooms, water view, 9 nights. Plus one day base tickets (will upgrade to something when down there) and dining. With room only it was like $1174 per room or with the dining and ticket its $19xx per room. I would like the dining included so that its just less $ to worry about bringing down there. We will definitely eat that much per day of food, we love to splurge on vacation! Is this going to be worth it? Does this seem like a good deal? We will have 2 adults, 4 kids on the package.***

you are going to love this resort- I think one of the main things you might miss is having a balcony- - that is the only downside to CSR being a moderate. We absolutely loved this resort and yeah a balcony would have been nice- but it was ok not having it. Enjoy - I know you will!
