Presents are almost all bought, nothing is wrapped and we have a huge extended family. We leave on the 25th and I have not packed anything yet, it is a surprise so I can't do it while the kids are around. Someone is always here, given that there are 5 of them. I need to bake for kids holiday parties, for our Christmas Eve celebration, and clean the house. Oh yeah and my regular computer at home is broke so I am using my work laptop, which is a huge pain. For some strange reason I cannot access my home email from it. Technologically challenged I think! I can't seem to get out of my own way though. I am not really sure where today went! Oh well just really needed a little pity party and some pixie dust to move me along. Thanks for listening and pixie dust to all.

Pixie dust**~** :wizard: **~**headed your way!

What about making a list? This way you can see everything that needs to be done and can cross it off when it's done. Just do a little at a time, it will get done and you'll be rewarded with a wonderful trip! :teeth:

Just do a bit - you know, don't bake all the cookies in one day, just mix up the dough and pop it in the fridge.

Another important thing is to realize what DOESN'T need to get done. This year I'm only putting up the small artificial tabletop tree and skipping the real tree.

Most of all, I wish you peace and joy as the holiday and your wonderful trip draw near!!

2 words Gift Bags! Forget wrapping as much as possible and put things in the cute little gift bags.

Also don't be shy about asking for help. So many of us think we need to do it all this time of year. Maybe store bought cookies, and sending the kids off to a LONG movie tomorrow would help you find some packing time. Good luck to you!:teeth:

I agree with all of the other suggestions. Are there some things that you can really just get by with not having to do? We sometimes put stress on ourselves when we truly don't have to.

We are thinking of you, but then you'll be really enjoying your days here very soon.

I totally understand. I have had my two kids sick with the flu all week plus I have a nasty sinus infection (oh yeah, I'm 25 weeks pregnant too!). I've had to shelve ALL my Christmas preparations to take care of my invalids. At least the tree is up! Thank goodness for the internet or my kids would have no presents. I haven't been out of the house except to go to Eckerds or the doctor since Monday! But, I will gladly share pixie dust with you if you'll send some back this way!

Make a list of everything you need to do. Tackle one thing at a time. :)

I agree with the gift bags idea. They are a life saver! :)

Try to use www.mail2web.com to access your home email from your home computer until you can figure out what's wrong with it.:)

~pd~ sprinklin' your way. I'm sorry you're feeling the holiday stress.

Thanks all, it is a better day today. I am going to begin baking in about an hour. Hmmmm who needs swedish meatballs-Great Grandma's recipe, Great-Grandma's Cranberry Bread that includes chocolate chips, or spritz? Pixie dust to all, I think I just needed a pity party.

We all have days like that, I'm glad today is looking better for you.

You will get it all done, just take it one thing at a time. I really like the gift bag idea :)
