... "Everytime I go to 1900 Park Fair they are always so nice to me. The managers don't give me a hard time. The managers can see that I am innocent and they can see that my love for Suzy and Perla is innocent and they can see that there is nothing wrong with my love for Suzy and Perla." ...
Obviously the Disney CMs try to accommodate "special" people.

First of all, this is the strangest post I have ever read... with that said, I love this thread! But you know all us here on the DIS spend hours and hours planning a trip that is weeks, months and even years away, we know how much a lagoon view room at the poly will cost in value season, we know what "the poly" and hundreds of other accronyms stand for, we have 21 separate meals planned for a week a year from now but don't know what we will make for dinner tomarrow night, we send post cards to total strangers when we go on vacation, and the highlight of our day when on vacation is to return to our room to find that the housekeeper has spent more time being artistic with the towels than cleaning the room... let me just say we are all very, very, very creepy :yay:
FlowersChild,
I gotta read some more of your posts! I think more people should enjoy WDW like you do, be a kid a heart.

Exactly! I find the OP's post no more strange than someone dressing their dog as Cinderella. All innocent fun to me....

Thanks to all the nice people who responded by the way :goodvibes I don't want this thread to be locked because of a few rude people. But I think I am going to send a PM to one of the mods and ask them to take off all the rude posts and all the post that said that I was doing something creepy ect. >

Hey Flowerschild~
Why don't you draw or color them a picture. The characters love getting pictures they can hold on to. I think that any friend of Suzy or Perla would enjoy something that they can keep. Or you could get them a fake flower. Any gift that you think of will be special. Suzy and Perla and I are pretty close and I think they would be happy with anything you give them. :)

Awwww that was such a nice post :goodvibes A lot of the posts on this thread where nice :goodvibes I copied and pasted this one because this person is a " close friend " to Suzy and Perla :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I didn't mean to imply that you were in any way a bad person. You are very likely a great guy with the best of intentions. But, from my perspective, if I were the young lady working at 1900 Park Fair and repeatedly saw the same young man approaching me and trying to give me gifts, I would probably start to get a little nervous.

You have to understand that there are a LOT of wackos out there. Thus, even your very well-intentioned actions can be colored by people's perceptions of the not-so-innocent things that those other people might do. I just ask that you think a little bit about the feelings of the cast members who play Suzie and Perla before you assume that your actions will be seen as the innocent and kind actions that I'm sure you intend.

I could be way off base . . .the cast members could love your gestures, but please think about the alternative.

I again do not care what you do...all I am talking about is the perception of the say 21 year old girl in the costume. She can see what you are doing as creepy because to her it might be seen as a pick up attempt or something. It is all perception and you have to agree the girl inside might not see it the way you see it (even people on this thread see it differently)...whether she outwardly expresses the concern or not. I just don't want it to possibly turn ugly in the future. Obsession can be a bad thing at times (in anything be it with Disney, certain characters, football....etc) and if this meal is one you frequent and some of the same cast members are present and see what amounts to too much attention bestowed on "Suzy and Perla" regularly by the same individual they might think something is up in the obsession realm whether your perception is that way or not and there could be consequences (what kind....I do not know). I would just be very careful. Again this first time they might see it as cute the second maybe weird the third creepy...or they might jump straight there. Todays world teaches girls to be very careful of their surroundings and attentions paid especially by males.
You must be the guy who wants to ban the tea cups because they cause motion sickness. When we got our picture taken with Cinderella last month Cindy asked me if she could hold my arm like a Prince, should my wife had slapped her and told her to not flirt with her husband. For goodness sakes it could be two small guys in the mice costumes. When you go to WDW you are supposed to be part of the show, thats why employees are cast members, thats why all the attractions have preshows, like Rockin Roller Coaster, you don't just go on a roller coster there is a story, you are Aerosmith's special guests in your own private crazy limo ride through Hollywood on your way to their concert, now thats more fun than just a rollercoster, you probably think that character meals are just for kids but they don't ban single 22 yr old guys or any one else for that matter, anyone can go and have fun and Flowerschild is going and having fun.
If you are a costumed character and do not enjoy attention then you got the wrong job, lastly why would anyone dressed up as a mouse think someone is flirting with them- they don't talk, you can't see their face and like I mentioned before you don't even know if they are male or female.

I Think you should get your picture with the mice next time you go then go back and give them each a copy of the picture, you probaly already have a pic with them though.

Now I am wondering...I am a 43 year old divorced female.

Last week I went over to MK while on vacation just to get a hug from Chip and Dale....hope that doesn't creep anyone out.

I would think that the characters are trained to handle all types of situations...and their escorts are there to watch out for them as well.

In case anyone has noticed this society has some very young people who commit heinous crimes and are true sociopaths....age has no discrimination. So to single out one adult male as "creepy" because he loves Suzy and Perla just doesn't seem quite fair.

My DM who is 65 also loves Suzy and Perla....and can name all the other mice in Cinderella....and she sure doesn't creep me out!

Still think flowers are a great idea...tied with some really pretty ribbon that you take the time to choose....

heatherfeather24 I want you to read this post so I copied and pasted it again. Do you know what it means when someone says they are close to Suzy and Perla ? If you don't I can explain this in a PM > Also heatherfeather24 I am not attacking you I just wanted you to read this post because it might help explain things to you and other people. You see the friends of Suzy and Perla are not going to be creeped out by someone like me.

Also I have heard that friends of Suzy and Perla like it when they have big fans because Suzy and Perla are not the more popular characters and I heard this from cast members. Also one of the cast members knows I am a male and knows I am an adult and knows I am very tall ect. ect. ect. well this cast member said that people who are friends with Suzy and Perla would like people like me :goodvibes I told her what I do and she said I am not the type of person who would creep the " friends " of Suzy and Perla out >

WDW: " Hi, welcome to Disney Casting. Which character are you trying out for?"

Me: "Any of them but Suzy or Perla."

Flower's child, you may be the nicest guy in the world. but if I started hanging around the storybook garden to give Belle gifts, I'm sure it would start to make her uncomfortable. everyone has favorite characters, just try not to get into trouble.

Read some of the other post. Read what Danny had to say and also read that post that was posted by someone who is a " friend " of Suzy and Perla. Also read how I talked about how a cast member told me that I am not the type of person who would creep out people who are " close friends " with Suzy and Perla. Read all of that and maybe just maybe you might get it.

How about giving them some cheese. Mice seem to like cheese. Maybe some Velveeta as it travels well?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for ruining my keyboard. I had just taken a big swig of Coke before reading this, and well its all over the place now. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh my goodness, I can't wait to show this to my wife. ;)

Mice also LOVE peanut butter...and since they are girls, they must love chocolate. What about chocoalte and peanut butter cups?

I second the cheese suggestion. Mice really really love cheese and I am sure Suzy and Perla would think it is cute to get cheese. I mean not a stuffed animal holding cheese but a real live piece of cheese, maybe cheddar. That would be really innocent and cute and Suzy and Perla would know how happy they make people. Really it sounds like a non shy way for a grown man holding a stuffed animal to show Cinderella's two mice how much he loves them.

It must be hard to be a mouse in WDW when your not Mickey or Minnie. Talk about playing second fiddle!

My suggetion for a gift for Suzy and Perla would be a hug!

Enjoy every minute!

I think this may be my favorite thread ever! I'm still wondering what "close friends" with a character means- I think I must be a total square!

To the original poster- do you carry a stuffed Stitch around with you? I saw a gentleman do that on our recent trip to the world that he would ask the characters to pose with.
