:cool1: This September, we will be flying with them for the 1st time. We started driving to Disney 2 years ago, when airfare x's 5 was over $1000.00. Roundtrip fares BELOW $200 from Boston to Orlando were becoming very rare.

back in June, I was messing around with finding airfare for our dates (out of curiousity, because we planned on driving)I discovered JetBlue was having a sale, and the 5 of us could fly for $977 total!!! I called Dh at work and he said , "WTH, book it."

We are all very excited to be flying again, especially on JetBlue, where the kids will EACH have their own tv. (read:no fighting). So today,I get an e-mail from jetBlue announcing their "everyone must go" sale.

I plugged in the same dates, the the same exact flights were available. The new price??? $857.00!!!! :earseek:

I called to inquire if I could change to the new price, and I expected them to say I would need to pay a change fee, if they even allowed it at all. What did she say? "Oh, we can just honor the new price, and you will get the difference back in a credit, to be used one year from today."

:cool1: That is a $120.00 credit!!!!

Oh, JetBlue, I think I love you!

Just remember no airline likes an easy date! Keep your seats upright and your tray tables in their proper position!

Jet Blue is a floozy.

No flights to or from Kansas City. Back to my love affair with Southwest.

I love them too. :)

We had quite a mess with canceled flights for our March trip to Vegas. Jetblue called us in the middle of the night to tell us our 6 AM flight to JFK was canceled - therefore, meaning that we weren't going to Vegas.

I was NOT missing my vacation. They arranged for us to get a last minute seat on a flight from JFK to Vegas later in the day - IF we could get from Buffalo to NYC in time via car.

Well, you bet your bottom dollar we got there.

Any other airline never would have called us that far in advance to tell us our flight was canceled. Their customer service at Jetblue is outstanding. :teeth:

If Jet Blue ever comes to melbourne--I'm cheating on Delta. I don't care how long we've been together...or how many skymiles I have. I soo want to give Jet Blue a whirl.

Be nice to my plane---I'm sure it'll be here in no time ;).

Jet Blue will start flying out of Newark, NJ in Oct. I can't wait to give them a try.

I hope they are good! We are using them for the first time next week going Boston to Long Beach CA.

Then I happened to hear Jet Blue had a sale for Dec. I checked and found flights, at decent times for 165.40. Song who I do really like had comprable flights for 218.00. Sooooo, since 165.40 was way too good to pass up, my Mom and I booked! I had no intention of going in Dec until I found such great rates. :earseek:

Does anyone know if Jet Blue sells food, and if so, what do they have? Do you at least get drinks?

I already booked two trips on Jet Blue from Newark. I got $135RT for the week before Thanksgiving and $195 for the 3rd week of December.

You will LOVE JetBlue. They are exactly as their commercial implies. Helpful. The seats are comfy, and nothing beats having that TV!! Theres also a great map on one of the channels, which shows you where the plane is, so you know how much further!!

shoes99-Not sure about the longer flights, but the several times we've flown with them, you are allowed to have as many snacks as you'd like!

Disney1fan- That credit will burn a hole in your pocket!!! We had a credit last year, for our December trip....what did we do??? booked onefor August (last year!)

Enjoy your trip!

CamColt, I flew them recently JFK to Long Beach, best flight we ever had. You don't even feel like you are in the air for 5 hours.

No they did not sell any food, they did though come through two times with their snacks. I bought sandwiches with us from home, but to be honest, we we so excited about the trip to California we weren't hungry and the snacks held us off till we got there to eat.

Just an FYI anyone now using JetBlue to Orldando they are part of the ME program.

Last year we got standed on the Disney Cruise during a hurricane and Jet Blue moved us twice with no problem and no fee to get us home. In the end they flew us out of a different airport. I can't say enough good things about them.

Just wondering if you've ever been in Long Beach airport before? ;)

We flew from Long Beach to JFK in March and let's just say, Long Beach is a bit like the Tower of Terror. I think somewhere around 1950, Long Beach airport got hit by lightning, and things haven't changed since then. :rotfl:

But we lived. ;)

Have a fun trip. Jetblue rocks.

I have to tell you Long Beach was the first airport I was ever in that you walked down stairs to get out of the airplane.

I knew just how the Beatles felt in 1964 landing in NY for the first time and they walked down those staires to get off that BOAC plane. LOL

I've had a long standing love affair with Southwest, so I understand your passion. :goodvibes

It has got to be a CA thing.

Ontario Airport (east of LA) is the same way.

That is where I usually fly into when visiting my grandparents. Last flight visit was a loong time ago....but I can't imagine they added jetways.

That's too funny. I told DH I felt like the First Lady climbing up those stairs. I wanted to do the "wave", but I restrained myself. :rotfl:

Did you, by chance, visit "the observation deck"? Oh my - that was the kicker. It's basically a concrete loading dock off the "restaurant". But the Jetblue employee told us to kill some time we should visit "the observation deck". So we did. :teeth:

Jetblue's great, we flew them from JFK to Vegas last year. Would love to keep flying them, but I just am not a fan of JFK airport.

Thats great to hear. Ive been tracking my flight recently and it seems to arrive early almost every day...thats a good thing. :)

So they actually, give snacks? Do you happen to remember what they have? I have very picky kids, who I am bringing some stuff for, but if they get surprised with something they like, that would be great.

And no, Ive never been to Long Beach. GG, it may have been your post a few months back, but I remember reading something about that here, so luckily I am prepared, LOL! It should be interesting. ;)

They gave you a choice of about 5 things for snacks. Honestly, I don't remember what they all were, but I had animal crackers.

CamColt

They have chips, called "Blue Chips"
They have chocolate chip cookies
they have a biscotti (kinda a hard cookie - very good though)
Animal crakers

and something else that I can't remember

That is what they give the first pass around with a choice of hot or cold drinks.

The second pass there is no choice on snacks. They give you a pre package snack that has cheese and crakers, two oreo cookies and a hard candy. You again have a choice of a snack.

I too tracked my flight for about two weeks before. It always showed it getting in early and we did too.
