I was going through our photo albums last night and there are hardly any pictures of me. Seriously, if I was to ever come up missing my DH would have to produce my drivers license for a recent picture. So, is anyone else out there spending so much time taking the pictures that there are not any of themselves???

I know what you mean I'm always the one taking the pics lol

Me too! That's why I love Photopass so much! My kids will know they had a mom around thanks to the photopass photogs. :thumbsup2

My brother and I were talking about this the other day. Almost all of my childhood pictures don't have either of my parents in them. Neither one of them like to have their pictures taken. We tease them all of the time that we'll have to scan and photoshop pictures so they'll look like they were there :). I would've liked to have more pictures of my parents growing up to show my kids or to remember them when they're gone.

I could have written this thread. :lmao: I have even told my husband that he won't have any pictures of me to put on the news if something happens. If I whine about it enough, he'll take a picture of me just to shut me up. But why, he's only taking a picture of me because I want one, not because he wants pictures of me. You should see how many he has of his jeep. Even of him in his jeep (and he hates having his picture taken). We have tons of the kids because I take all the pictures.
The kids are starting to want to take pictures more and every once in awhile, they'll snap one of me. There's a lovely one of the bottom half of my face that my DS took. :rotfl:

If I am ever missing I fear that DH's first instinct will be to just open my laptop, pull up the DIS and give the police my siggy photo! That will be broadcast all over the news. I will have to stay missing after that!:rotfl2:

He is the one that takes most of the photos so I don't have a bunch of him. I try to sneak in photos of him as often as I can. My mother hates photos and always looked ticked off in pictures. Just once I would like one where she is smiling.

The last pic taken of me was in May of 2007 :scared1: No I'm not kidding. I keep telling Patrick if I die our kids aren't going to know what I looked like :headache:

Yep, I'm the one behind the camera most of the time. I get in the photos when DS comes back home and sets it up to take the photo automatically!:rotfl:

That's how our honeymoon album is...one would think DH went on the honeymoon alone if one didn't know better. ;)

We love sharing our vacation, special occasion, school, etc. photos with our families and they always ask if I was there! :goodvibesI've tried to let others take the photos, but it's not that I'm just a photo control freak, it's also that they all need some serious lessons!
I have tried harder to get in more photos lately for memories, so instead of zero, it's like...one!

I find most parents don't want to be in the photos... too embarrased or something. I don't know. It was very frustrating as a photographer to get parents to take a picture. Most time when I wasn't working with a character, i'd weasle the parents into taking a family picture. Then I'd call the kids over to me like I wanted them for some reason. I'd ask them to stand on the side of me and I'd get mom and dad alone. Then I'd tell them that they could use that picture and brag about the trip to disney without the kids. :)

It's not that bad. We all have flaws that we don't like to show off. But for the most part the only ones to actually see those photos are going to be the ones that see you every day. You're the one that controls who sees it in the long run. And eventually when you get older you'll have pictures to show the grown kids/eventually grandkids.
