..... for my Dec trip to VWL.

Number one on our BWV request was "Upper Floor". Do I really need to tell you where they asigned us ? For those scratching your heads rigt now..... te answer is 1st Floor.

When DW replied with a "YOU'RE KIDDING" type reply, the CM picked up a phone and gave whoever she was talking too a "reason" why 1st floor was unacceptable and voila.... 4th floor. We did not ask this woman to do anything & the "reason" she gave was great.....only my DW almost ruined it by blurting out "I never said that".

Other interesting thing about check-in; Our original room - actually rooms, we had two studios - were not ready, but the 4th floor rooms were. They were also right next to each other as we also had originally request. So at 8:25 am we were in our rooms.

Now I just have wait till tomorrow morning to call MS and request a room so close to the dumpster I can smell last weeks lunch special at Roaring Forks.

You'd better becareful, or they *might just* find a way to accommodate your request!!

:earboy2:

Of course, the bad news is;
They've started empting that dumpster every night now, so if you planned on enjoying the flocks of flies - they're gone. Chalk it up to another 'cut-back'.
:(

;) :teeth:

I hope you enjoy your view! ;)

The very first time I stayed at VWL I had "the view". Actually, it wasn't nearly as bad as many here make it seem.

The good part was not having to take out the garbage. Every evening I just heaved the bag over the balcony rail! :teeth:

Hmmm, so if disney is utilizing a "room ready" policy, wonder why u weren't just placed there originally  Great that you were able to get into your room so early ....amazing :faint:

Yet another perk of the VWL ! Better watch out, or this just might become a popular request of Members :flower:

Now that's funny! :wave2:

:rotfl: Oh they have you in the system now, the problem is if you request a great view, you will get the dumpster view, if you request the dumpster view, you will get the dumpster view :rotfl:

we had stayed at the bwv and they had a standard view or a pool/garden view, well we chose the pool/garden view for XX amount of points more, well we got the room just above the arcade/bathroom/walkway to the boardwalk with a huge tree in front of the view of the pool, now keep in mind the balcony wall 9solid wall) was so tall you couldnt see anything but the wall when sitting on the balcony if you wanted to see anything in between the branches of the tree you had to stand. it was not worth the XX points , i would have rather saved the points and had the standard valet parking lot view :teeth:

See, I try to be funny...and I'm just not. I give up. ;)

(I wonder, though, manning:)...if it would "cost" more/less in laundering pool towels if they did get mixed in with the room towels. Someone would have to sort them...:scratchin )

Sorry for the thread hijack, plus4026! Enjoy your Dumpster View!!:)

:sunny:

Sure it is. The pool towels in the deluxe resort towel return bins just get dried, folded and shipped to the mod resorts. The mod used towels just get folded and shipped to the economy resorts. Finally, their towels get washed, dried, folded and shipped back to the deluxe.

Really, I give up....and settle for just being beautiful..

As I see it, the only way to eliminate the hijacking of pool towels is to get different towels............paper towels :teeth:

Wouldn't tissues be more cost effective?
