Well, after 3 years absence from staying at BWV we finally had a chance to stay in our first "home" again.
I have to say that as much as I enjoyed our stays at BLT, it's so nice to be back to BWV.

The furniture in BWV looks more sturdy than BLT. I really think whoever is the furniture buyer for BLT really needs to have a talking to. I know that BWV has just been renovated in the past couple of years but everything still looks good.

Room size wise (1br) does feel a lot smaller than BLT. I do miss the spaciousness of BLT.

The extra bathroom is missed also.

But the atmosphere and decor of the resort made up for everything I think. It feels like home to me instead of a hotel feel of BLT.

Truth be told, I was rather concerned that I would feel disappointed going back to BWV after many stays at BLT. But I'm happy to say that BWV still has my heart :lovestruc

Now, we just have to go back to our second "home" WLV in a couple years. Let's see if I will feel the same way :cloud9:

I'm glad your love for BWV is still there, and it's my guess that you'll feel great about staying at VWL again, too!

It's AKV that lures me away from our favorite, VWL, but it's still good to go home to VWL!

Nice to be home!!!

We will be staying at BLT and Wilderness Lodge in Sept., both for the first time. I am really looking forward to new resorts and their individuality.

We will also be at SSR. Gives me the same feeling as you get from BWV.

It's nice to know that there are so many options to stay at. And I can feel home at most of them :)

When it was just the 2 of us, a room is just a bed and shower. Now that DD is here, we spend so much time in our room that a good home is so essential.
Now let's hope that when they do a reno at WLV it'll be a good one... :lmao:

We fell in love with BWV this January. And it's a good thing ! We are new members and bought BWV before we ever saw it. :rotfl:

We love the easy walk to Epcot and DHS and just being on the boardwalk in the evening is a blast.

We are returning this October for the F&W Fest and I booked a Standard Studio for seven nights at the 11 month mark but had to change some dates and give the last two nights back.

We are now staying at OKW for the first two nights and BWV for the last five. We can't wait to try OKW, or be home again at BWV.

We also purchased a small resale SSR contract and can't wait to try that as well.

OKW is our home resort and it's my favorite but DS(14) loves the ambiance of the Boardwalk so we split our stays! We've had many great stays there!

BWV is my home and I find it funny when we first joined the DVC the plan was to stay at all the DVC Hotels. Since then and after hitting a few of the others it seems that like you my family just loves BWV so much thats where we keep returing.

Hi cseca,
Going home again is a great thing. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Home for me is WL and after staying at BLT I wondered if going home would be the same and it was. I love WL and it will always be the favorite. :lovestruc Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

We did the same and after staying at our home resort BWV after purchasing, we've been staying at the other DVC resorts. Well it will be 3 years since our last stay at BWV! :guilty: We're going back home in January, can't wait!! BW view of course!!

BWV will always have my heart! :lovestruc We paid cash to stay in a studio for our honeymoon in 1997. My parents paid cash for a 2 bedroom for all of us in 1999 and we loved it even more. We haven't stayed there since and have been dying to ever since we joined DVC in 2008! I was lucky enough to call MS yesterday afternoon and snag BWV for Dec. 2!!! I am so excited I can't stop thinking about it!

Congratulations! DH and I alternate Christmastime vacations with VWL and BWV. I love the BWV lobby at Christmas, and we also walk around the boardwalk because the YC and BC lobbies are also excellent!

PS. We're not as enamoured of the S/D's Christmas decorations but we usually try to get there too!

BWV still holds a very special place in my heart, because it's where we stayed for the first time as DVC members. :cloud9: Glad you had a wonderful trip!

When so many people are referring to a Timeshare as going home. It has to show one thing for sure, "DISNEY DID IT RIGHT" " :cool1:

Isn't a wonderful feeling to have a resort that you love so much and it feels like home? VWL is our home resort and we love it so much that no one in the group wants to try any of the other resorts. I do enjoy the fact that there are so many wonderful resorts in the DVC system. I am sure we will try some others, just don't know when we will pull ourselves from our beloved lodge.

Glad to hear you had a wonderful time at BWV!

It was a wonderful time for us!
Our DD gets to see the fireworks from her crib before she goes to sleep every night. She even asks to go to sleep... :lmao:
She recaps her time at the parks every night. And now that we're home, she kept saying how much fun it was at the park and the different rides she went on there.

Even though the weather was H-O-T for someone in the late pregnancy like me, I still had a grand ole time there. The fact that we had a kitchen and w/d were lifesavers for me. I lost count on how many loads of laundry I did and also the fact that we don't have to rush out to get breakfast in the morning. DD could eat her cereal while watching disney channel was wonderful. DH said, he's glad that we have a w/d because he doesn't even have enough clothes to last the whole vacation... :rotfl:

The next time around we'll have 2 little ones along. I can't imagine not having a kitchen or washer/dryer then...

We will be staying at BWV for the very first time in Oct. for F & W and I simply cannot wait! It's one of the few resorts we haven't experienced and we have always loved the Epcot area and how easy it is to walk and boat. As much as I love all the other resorts, I know BWV is going to make us fall in in love AGAIN.

DH and I will be at BWV next February for our anniversary.
A studio should be enough for just the 2 of us, right?
Any other suggestions or tips for an adults-only stay at BWV?
(I feel so guilty leaving the kids at home!:guilty:)
