I started packing!

I started packing today! Even though my trip is still "several" days away I decided it was time to start putting some stuff together. Packing my "Disney bag" (the bag that I take to the parks with me) has made this upcoming trip feel a little more like reality. Can't wait!

I packed like you are for our last trip. It makes you so excited to know that you are actually going there. I am so happy for you have a great time packing and dreaming about WDW !

I packed this weekend too and Im not leaving for 6 months....LOL
I was putting my summer clothing away (in the middle of a snow storm) and decided to put somethings I will need into a suitcase.
I have one of these sling things that you put two water noodles in so you float, I packed that or I'd never find it when I want it.

I have no idea why I'm so excited about this trip. Its all I have on my mind and its 6 months away.

We have a vacation box that we keep filled with batteries, film, video tape, rain ponchos, kleenex packs, and other goodies that we usually only need at vacation time.

I printed off my modified ultimate packing list tonight. I have washed a mountain of clothes this week getting things in order for the trip. I plan on doing a lot of cleaning house tomorrow. We leave for Florida on Thursday. We really would like to return to a clean home.

Tomorrow evening, I break out the luggage! Maggie

We have a "Disney Tote" that holds all of our important stuff for trips to the World. Usually for a trip we just have to pack our clothes and medicines and such.

I hope you have a GREAT time. Do you want me to go with you so I can make sure you have a great time?

I am going to begin packing this week. DCherubs think we are going to Maine the weekend after Christmas so they won't get suspicious if they see luggage out! I plan on doing this during the day while they are at school during a day off.

It would probably be a good idea, considering that I'll have to drive halfway across the country before Christmas (bye bye Indiana!), and will be completely swamped with holiday stuff right up until the trip.... When did it get to be less than a month? That's awesome

I figured this weekend would have been a great time to pack since in Maine we have almost 2 feet of snow on the ground so far and more falling!

I got my sons bags packed and mine ALMOST packed when I realized that I didn't leave any room for my husband! I asked him if bringing one pair of clothes was sufficient for a week and he just growled.

SO I guess I have to go and buy another suitcase as soon as I can dig my car out!

Just pulled my suitcases out this morning!! Can;t wait to get started!! Seems like I still have alot of time yet ...but oh well! DH thinks I'm jumping the gun a little! We have 3 kids and each one has their own suitcase and we have 2 (not to mention all the laundry baskets and summer clothes boxes sitting around right now)so he'll be tripping over suitcases and christmas decorations for a month! I't's like a obstacle course through my house right now! My kids are loving it though! They're playing hopscoth w/ the suitcases as I type!

Our luggage left on Saturday. We leave this Friday. My parents are driving and they are transporting our luggage. It’s great to fly with nothing to bring.

I'm getting ready to start packing too but I've never been in January. Does anyone have any suggestions are good things to pack? Are things like sun screen and bug spray still important?

I have no idea what to pack...
DH and I went and bought bigger suitcases for
warmer clothes, based on previous posts.
We live in Colorado, so we're used to the cold,
but we grew up in Texas, so we know how cold it
can get at 40 degrees with 80% humidity!!
Anyway, I guess we'll throw some extra sweatshirts
in and get some closed toe shoes!! Can't Wait!!!

Always pack the sunscreen. Just because it's cold doesn't mean that the sun is any less harmful to the skin. Have a magical time everyone!!!

I believe today we are at the 40 day mark away from our January trip.... I was tempted to get the luggage out of the attic yesterday when I was up getting the Christmas decorations, but decided that it would be just one more thing to trip over and I will wait until after the New Year. As it is my living room is covered in wrapping paper and bows, my dining room is holding the storage boxes from the decorations, and my bedroom is becoming scrapbook central, as I am bound and determined to finish the scrapbooks from our last trip, before the next trip!!!!!!!!!
