I start my new job today!!***UPDATE PAGE 2...DAY 2***

Well today is it....my first day at the zoo!! I am so excited I can't stand it!! I'm working in the gift shop, which of course is the entrance to the zoo. So I'll have contact with every single person who walks through that door visiting the zoo. AWESOME!! I work from 8-1 today in training and tomorrow the same. (OOOO....me outta bed before 10 am....WATCH OUT NOW!!)
Well, I better go. Gotta fix breakfast and get dressed for my new job!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!!!

I had a GREAT time today at the zoo! There's nothing at all to it....I sell admissions, ring up things people buy in the gift shop, fill up feed bags so people can buy them and feed to the animals and answer any questions that may arise.

A little kid asked me today what was in the white bag, (it's the feed bag for the animals) and I told him it was his snack for later and to be sure to get back in his cage when he was done! He just giggled at me!!
I told another one to say hello to "Miss Giraffe" (my name for her) and he said "okay ma'am!" and waved good bye to me as he exited for the zoo! WHAT FUN!!

I've seen my schedule for next week already...40 HOURS!! I'm going to be a busy one next week, but it will come in handy for that trip home on the 3rd of April. I'm only doing 3 shifts a week at Ruby's now and have one day off between both jobs. I will eventually stop working Saturdays at Ruby's as I don't work Tuesdays and Saturdays at the zoo and that will give me two days off again. I don't want to poop myself out, so I'll watch and see how I feel at the end of April. We're going home for a week in April, the week of Passover as a matter of fact, so that will be a nice rest there. :happy1:

Well, off I go to have lunch before heading to Ruby's. Thanks for all the well wishes and I'll keep everyone posted.
