I spent my morning in the emergency room

I was trying to get everything together that I had to do before we leave in the morning for Disney World. We where walking out the door to take DD to the doctors for a check up and I remembered I didn't take my medicine. I hurried and took it and the capsule broke in my mouth and it gave me a reaction. I couldn't get my breath my throat was closing so I hurried and dial 9-1-1. Told them to page my DH he's a fire fighter in town to come home. I also work at the 9-1-1 center. They new i was having problems breathing so the dispatched the ambulance also. The ambulance and DH got here within 3 minutes of me calling. the ambulance took me to the ER. After spending the morning there getting some test, I'm home and fine. I still very congested and the doctor said I could develope pnemonia (SP). Great just what I need before I leave on vacation. Hope my luck will be better in Disney. We've had a bad weekd DH with root canal, then infection, now this. Sorry for this long book I just wrote.

Wow! That is so scary for you and your children. Who would have thought that taking your medicine that way could have such consequences. Sounds like you will need a nice relaxing vacation. Feel better!

WOW - that indeed is very scary. I hope that end up being okay and I agree with Liz - you will NOT get pneumonia - pump that vitamin C in to help fight off whatever it can!!!!

Sorry to hear that happened - I've always wondered what would happen if a pill opened. Yikes!!!
