I just wanted to let you guys know that I sold a Madeline doll house on Ebay last week and made.......$400. It was the old house in Paris doll house for the 8 inch dolls.

There must be a BIG demand for these houses. I started the listing at $50 and it just flew up from $200 at the last minute to $400!!

I actually sold it with lots of furniture and little accessories & 4 dolls, but if this is something you have lying around your house, don't sell it at a garage sale for cheap - go EBAY it!! Ours was 5 years old and both of my girls had used it and wanted the space back in their rooms. I probably recuped almost as much on it as I spent over the years on all the stuff we added to it.

I couldn't believe it!!!

Last year I sold a bunch of Fashion Polly (Polly Pocket) stuff and got almost $100! A couple months ago I sold a bunch of Barbie clothes and got over $25! LOVE to sell the girls toys when they outgrow them!

What will you use the money for?

Well.....I just bought myself an AP yesterday that cost me $423 so....It's PAID for!!! I bought it so I could access the AP website and that DUMB BRP and watch for discounts.

I love making that $$$ just for having an online garage sale! Now, even my youngest is in school, so I will be spending some afternoons cleaning out closets and their basement junk!! ;) Too much stuff!! We need to lighten up.

I actually Ebayed my way to WDW this August with my 3 kids. We stayed at the Dolphin for 3 nights and the GF RPC for 4!!! I sold outgrown clothes and misc. things over the summer and made the $$$$. We already had APs( this was our 5th trip - major bonus trip - on those APs before they expired)

Cool. I have a lot of that stuff. I may try to sell it around the holidays. I'm also going to try to eBay her Barbie Talking Townhouse Dollhouse, her Barbie train and her Barbie VW bus. I have the Sleeping Beauty castle from the Disney store and I think I may get rid of that too. I also may try to sell my older DDs Snow White house with miniatures that she got at WDW. I just have to make sure I have all the dwarfs. I didn't realize this stuff sold so well. I have a huge Rubbermaid tub of Barbie stuff. I also have 2 HUGE rubbermaid tubs of American Girl stuff ( ) but I think I am going to keep that stuff.

Ok...you got me motivated! I have TONS of stuff set aside in the basement waiting for me to list on eBay. I think I have several hundred dollars worth...maybe even a thousand (a few big ticket items in that pile). Just haven't had time to get around to taking the pics and writing the descriptions, etc.

But since I just booked our first Disney cruise today, I better get to work...LOL!

You can do it!! Our trip this month is 100% funded by eBay funds - we're staying at the Beach Club for a week with free dining. And that doesn't include the almost $3000 that we made at our two garage sales this summer!

I hope I'm not being too nosy or pushy, but can you tell me what type of items you are selling that is making that much money? I'll understand if you choose not to answer.

Thanks and congrats on your great financial success!

I have 2 daughters (5 and 9) and a teenage son. I buy only GAP & some Gymboree for the girls, so I sell their outgrown clothes. I find that if I purchase the GAP clothes on sale, even after they have worn them for a season, I can almost always sell them for close to what I originally paid. My son used to wear GAP, but now that isn't "cool" so I haven't tried to sell his other brand of outgrown things yet.

Right now, I have girls items listed and I am making about $350 at this point. The rest of the auctions end tomorrow and it will probably be close to $500 when all the bids are in! That will be $900 this week in extra ebay cash. I told my husband I am going to try and average $600/month. We don't need the extra money, but it is actually fun and exciting for me! ;)

I have also sold my son's old Rockenbok sets, some toys, Peanuts animation cells & collectables, some of my Eddie Bauer clothes that I don't wear, Born shoes, Dr. Marten shoes & boots, jean & winter jackets, Brighton & Coach bags I am tired of, just about anything brand name in good to excellent condition. (GAP, Old Navy, Gymbo, Eddie B, Ralph Lauren, Lane Bryant, Royal Doulton, Fiestaware, lithographs & cells.....)

I have soooo much stuff to get rid of. It feels good to clean out the closets and basement and make that money!!
