I snoozed, I lost

The cheaper air fare for DAP. The fare down jumped to $129, from $69. There was still a $69 flight, but it only got me in 25 minutes earlier and stopped in Chicago. Flying to Chicago from Pittsburgh, just seemed stupid to me. And the total travel time was almost 6 hours instead of 2 1/2. So I'll pay the extra and hope for a ding or a price drop. That'll learn me to not jump while the iron is hot.

My airfare did not do anything that dramatic but it went up another 10.00. I think I am going to book mine this week. It has gone up the last 2 weeks. Sorry to hear about your price jump. That is a big one.

Kim, Keep checking. The same thing happened to me. I thought I lost out on a SW deal, but checked a week or 2 later and the price went back down.

Thanks, Lisa. I know SW fares are never set until a couple of weeks before. I think I will be checking every couple of days. And of course, Dings will be my friend.

Sorry to hear about your wallet damage . I do want to thank you for your post as it motivated me to go book airfare. Got great price on trip from DC to MCO but the return was double - sort of balanced out as whole.

Hi Kim! This happened to me too. Mine went up $100.00 in one day. I had the flight up and was getting ready to book it when I had to leave for the eye Dr. I thought I would just buy it in the morning no biggie. When I went to book it the next morning it was a $100.00 more. That's what I get for not booking it when I had a chance.

Keep checking. The flights were much higher than $69 when the booking window opened and they just went down the other day.

I actually decided the book our return flight and pay for it instead of using a free ticket. $159 was too cheap to pass up, and we can use our free ticket some other time.

It is out of control. I can't believe how much it is. I was actually able to get a good rate using a code I found here on the DIS, but it makes me nervous. I have no idea what the code is or where it came from.

Last year at Christmas used a code from DIS, it worked fine but I was glad I printed the reservation and brought it with me just in case.
