I just wanted to let everyone know that I snagged CRT for 09/21/03 at 8:10 a.m.! We are bringing our nieces with us for their first trip and this is for their Birthday Celebration.

Now here is my question, we are staying at OKW and I just noticed that 09/21 is an "extra magic hour" morning for the MK. When do the bus' start running? Whould it be smarter to drive to the TTC and catch the monorail or boat over that way? Also, do we have to let a CM know at the gate that we have a Priority seating at CRT?

Would it be smart to try and get to the MK for 7:30, because I believe the park opens at 8 that day? I just don't know what to do???

Thanks again,

Tifany

Please - does anyone have suggestions for my questions???

I have the same situation. We're going to get there early (they will let you in with your PS confirmation number) and then go eat with the Princesses. Have a wonderful time!:D

If you are going to have a car I would not take a chance on not getting there on time and drive. The earlier the better. They do have CM's at the gate for getting in prior to park opening with your ps#.

If you are really concerned about having to battle the crowds why not try to get another ressie for a different day. You have one already so it doesn't hurt to try. That way you won't have to worry as much with crowds trying to get in. But I think you will be fine for the time of year you are going.

When we went in 2001 we had a 9:50 ps and were at the monorail station at GF by 9:00am. Well seeing how GF is last stop on the loop it was a zoo trying to get on at park opening. We were with another family, 8 of us together, and the first monorail came and it was totally packed. Second one we decided to split into 2 groups of 4 and still nothing. 3rd try we went in pairs and finally had success. We made our ps with about 5 minutes to spare thanks to my speed walking everyone down Main St.

Just too special of a ressie to be late for.

We also have an 8:00 PS on an early entry day. Do you know if will they let us in @ 7:30?

DRIVE! I wouldn't take the chance on being late. Also, you almost have to be pushy when you arrive (before the gate opens for the early morning entry). Go all the way to the last gate available and pass all of the people in line. I had to almost stand on the concrete flower wall to get the CM's attention to let me in before the gate opened, but once I got her attention, not a problem. I hate to be pushy, but I would have hated worst to have to wait until the gate opened and to be behind all of those people.

when I was trying to get through this morning? Cut it out would ya. :) I was trying for the same date.

Today was the first day I could start calling to try to snag CRT. Guess I'll be up early again tomorrow.

Those of you who have gotten ressies for CRT:
When you call and get the"all operators are busy" message, is it better to hang up and try again or do they take the calls in order?

Also, if I can't snag a ressie, is there any chance of walking up and being able to get seated? ( a long shot, I know, but anything is possible. It is WDW after all.
Thanks!
Terri

When I finally go through, I got the all operators are busy and then a live person less than 30 seconds from that message. When I finally got the open line, The weather channel, showed that time was 7:01 a.m.

When I got an operator I immediately said "Party of 5, Cinderella's, earliest available for 9/21". The CM then said, is 8:10 ok? It was that easy! I started calling at 6:55 on cell and regular phone and got through on my regular phone.

Just keep trying!

Folks, you're getting bad advice here! DO NOT DRIVE to the Magic Kingdom on Early Entry days.

Why? Because if you drive to the Magic Kingdom parking lot, you'll have to park in the day guest parking lot. You'll then have to wait for the monorail or the ferry (unless, of course, you're going to swim across Bay Lake). Since day guests don't get to take part in Early Entry, these things will not operate an hour early! Don't take my word for it -- call WDW-DINE and ask them. It's worth the long-distance call to know that you're not going to waste your CRT reservations.

Disney boats, busses, and the resort monorail will operate early for Early Entry. Go plenty early so you won't have any trouble, and they will let you into the Magic Kingdom early if you show them your PS number.

Okay, what about if you have an early PS at CRT on a non-EE day? We have an 8:10am PS when the park will not open until 9:00am. Will we be able to use Disney transportation to get there on time?

To the best of my knowledge, the buses start running at least an hour before the parks open. So, if it's an EE day, the bus should be running at 7 a.m. Like another person said, you have to be a little assertive tho. There is a CM way over on the end of the gate area that has all PS info. You give them your name and they'll let you in. Be ready for some dirty looks from those that don't have PS!!! You could try asking your question over on the transportation board too.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm reading it slowly to understand, I take it this goes for guests staying at all non-monorail Disney resorts?

We had this situation in 2001. The buses start running 1 hour before the park opens- so you can get there by bus. As others have said, there is a line to the left for guests with PS. Just tell them you have a PS- have your confirmation number with you in case they want it. It was so special walking down MainStreet with hardly anyone there!!! We got our photo taken by one of those photographers and no one was in the background!
Have a terrific time!!

"Folks", you can get on the "resort" monorail early at the TTC, if the other monorail is not running early. You just need to allow for the time to go around to Poly and GF. We had PS at CRT before the park opened, we drove, we pushed our way to the gate we took the regular monorail and we made it by our PS time.

This is absolutely NOT true. We drove to the TTC when there wasn't even Early Entry or EMH (March 2002) and got the very first parking spot in the lot. 2 other families came, and we rode on the resort monorail to the MK around 7:45.

I have very early PS's for CRT many times alawys used WDW bus from Hotel and NEVER had a problem and we go at EASTER!

Mickeyluver37, this has been my experience as well, when staying onsite. If you have a breakfast Priority Seating, you still may drive to Magic Kingdom parking lot (since you are there so early, you will be close enough to walk to the TTC). Notify the castmember who will have a clipboard with that day's list of PS holders. You will be allowed to take the resort monorail to the Magic Kingdom.

My head is spinning with all these choices. I might have this same dilemma. I haven't been to Disney since college, so this is all new again for me. QUESTION: If I go to CRT on EE day, and are eating when the gates open, do we have to leave after breakfast? We will have our day passes, do we exit and re-enter or will they check them on the way in? HELP. I am getting very confused!

You will not need to leave the park after breakfast and re-enter. Admission is required for dining in the theme park restaurants. Your ticket media will be scanned as you enter thru the turnstiles at the park entrance.
