Can you get walk ups at T Rex? We only booked our holiday very recently and of course all the lunch and dinner ressies had gone - we would love to try this has anyone got any experience of any lunch or dinner walk ups there?

I'm sure you can get a walk up if you give enough time, but try calling the restaurant directly. We did this a year or so ago when nothing was showing on the Disney booking site and got a reservation with no problems.

http://www.trexcafe.com/Main/Findus.html has the details to call.

Thanks PeeBee - how far in advance did you call? Also looking at that menu is not helping the hunger pangs gnawing in my stomach!

Don't want to rain on your parade but whenever we have gone to DTD the walk up line for TREX has been massive and over one hour wait on a evening , but you should be able to book a lunch time slot

Thanks Wolves - and yes, I am aware of the line - I really don't mind lunch or dinner, we were watching a vid of the inside on Youtube and my DD (almost 3) was so excited, think she would love it - she is very into dinosaurs.

It was only a month or so before I seem to remember - I think the restaurant run a separate reservation list from the one that they share with Disney, so give it a try. I seem to remember they were a bit disorganised when we called, but the reservation worked ok for us...good luck!

We got in on the 7th June on a walk up. This would have been around 3pm.

It is possible but if you want to guarantee it then I would call and book :)

We always walk up, and never have waited more than 15 minutes. We have done this probably 5x in the past 2 years. Maybe we have just been lucky?

quite a few years ago we joined the landrys club at rainforest cafe which got us priority entry to there and discount. As T rex is owned by the same chain it get us priority entry into there as well. we got it from front of rainforest a frew years ago so don't know how much its now

If you go for a lunch time you will get in no problems.
We have been a few times now and have always aimed to get there for when it opens (around 11.30 I think) and have never had to wait. In facvt by the time we have fnished our meal and had a walk around the shop, the queue is then quite long - so timing is everything :goodvibes

We went last year (Easter) peak time 7pm ish, had about 30 minute wait without a reservation. Can be done but expect a wait.

Thanks guys - we always expect to wait BTW, that is not a problem, just dont want to wait more than about 40 mins with a 2 year old in tow!
