I should have listened about GMAC

I have posted several times about my wonderful experience with GMAC. I worked with Rachel and she helped us find a great contract. I did constantly email her (I think that was my Disney OCD), but I got updates when we spoke and I would use them again if we decide to buy more.

Two things. One...almost everything I have seen posted about GMAC is BAD...

I worked with Rachel also, and she was wonderful especially when I put the first offer in on the contract on 12/31, we found out within minutes that it was accepted. After that, everything fell through the cracks. This is something I told her on the phone, so it is not like I am speaking about this without taking it to them.
I think there is a serious problem when I send an e-mail to contracts, and they send me one back that very rude, but tried to be put in a nice way on the 11th. Then...,when I call and speak to RACHEL on Monday, Jan 21st, she told me we DID NOT pass through ROFR yet. When I emailed contracts again on Friday Jan 25th, Carolyn said we passed on the 11th, but since they got the e-mail late, it would of been the 14th, and she thought I knew. How would I know, I only received the rude e-mail on the 11th.

I am glad that some people had a great experience with them, I however did not and I told them so, many, many times. I think it is very poor communication and customer service. Rachel did call and I spoke to her about it, honestly, I am not sure if it is her fault or contracts people fault, or both. I had much better customer service with the TTS. Just my opinion and story.

Though there are good reviews of GMAC, no one can deny that there are SUBSTANTIAL number of people with bad experiences with them (count me as one).

Are there as many BAD reviews about TTS, or any other brokers for that matter?

Why do people keep using GMAC?:confused3

I would think because GMAC has some awesome contracts for sale. If anyone ever wants to sell their contract, DVC gives them a letter on the resale process and points them towards GMAC. I would say the majority of DVC'ers are not aware of the DIS or the different options of selling your contract and just takes DVC's word on GMAC being the "preferred" resaler. They have a lot more contracts for sale then other resalers at a lot cheaper prices. I got my 200 BCV contract with 200 banked and 200 current year available (400 total at close) at $90 a point thru GMAC and the kicker was the price was reduced and it had been sitting idle for 2 months!! :scared1: That contract would have been gone in 10 min on another resaler site. Currently there's a 240 pt BCV contract avail at $93 a point with no points available until 3/08 at another resaler. That particular contract I bought was worth the "GMAC gamble" to me.

The contract was the exact reason that I used GMAC. I got a 50 point SSR, with 44 banked points contract with a Feb use year for 82 per point and the Sellers pays the closing costs.

For me that was worth the chance. I never thought since I had been through this before that it would happen to me. To be truthful I heard not so good things about GMAC but never read through the posts until after I signed the contract.
I won't use them again, but the contract I got when it finally all goes through was hopefully worth it.

I actually had conversation with that Carolyn about 3 wks. ago. Despite my concerns, my brother wanted to check them out for a contract. So I spoke with her to get the list of contracts under 100 pts. She said she had to look them all up as THEY COME FROM DISNEY to them! So, how is that possible? They aren't coming from the sellers? She did not know the inventory, and had to read them from a list of paper.
