I sent/recieved my Ornament Exchange

Please, let's not dissapoint anyone, get those packages in the mail by the end of tomorrow, or PM me if you are unable to. That way I can let your reciever know that they will get the ornament, just a little late.

I think pretty much all the WDW visitors have returned, too! Welcome back you lucky dogs!!!!

Let me start the flurry---
DH is on the way to the post office right now to drop off our 3 packages--from me, DD11 and DD3. I apologize for sending them on the last day and I hope they get to their destinations soon 2 are staying down here in the south and one is going way up north and over the border

Add me to the last minute senders. Mine is in the car and as soon as DH gets home from school (noon) it is on its way to the post office. I really had good intentions of mailing it out early, but I never do anything early

I was lucky enough to receive a package from Dan today. Let me tell you he went way above and beyond!!! I was very overjoyed!! I got the "Storybook Ornament Set" This is a beautiful BIG box that looks like a book. Inside are 6 ornaments the first one has a black background with firework sqiggles and it says Walt Disney World 2004 and then there is a Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and a Goofy ornament. They are all just as cute as can be and I can not really do this justice by my simple words.

Thank you very much DAN!! You are a true friend.

I am a little worried about my package. I mailed it over a week ago with a similar package to family friends. They have received their package (Tues.) and so far my exchangee hasn't received. I am hoping to hear something soon.

Yippeee! The Royal Mail just brought my package, all the way from the U.K.! It had the cutest little British Guard ornament, and some yummy yummy Cadbury chocolates.

I'm not sure which DISer it came from, the return address says "A. Jubb"--- so a BIG BIG THANK YOU to A. Jubb for my goodies!

Woo Hoo, you got your exchange from Gaspode's mom, she isn't a Diser, she is a mom of a very sweet diser!

And I just got a ding dong from the mail man (this week it is a man!) and what did he bring? I box full of goodies! I got a really cute Gingerbread House ornament, a mug that has cute ginger people on it, a little bear ornament, 2 really pretty potholders, and 2 towels that will look so nice in my new kitchen for the holidays, a very nice notepad with an inspirational proverb on it, a very special book with the story of Christmas told in a lot of spiritual ways, some age defying hand cream (I need it, packing with newspaper is so hard on your hands) and the most special thing of all, a card and handmade magnet from Mandy. Mandy signed the card herself and drew on it. I will treasure it always. I kept my name out of the exchange in case there was a match up problem, and how lucky that the kids were uneven. I got to exchange with Mandy, daughter of Shep and Believe. I couldn't have had a better echange partner.

I got some wornderful gorgeous ornaments... One is a modern type snowflake made with mirrors.. (exactly what I LOVE.. that retro look!)

2 square "frosted" ornaments, and they are beautiful... one says peace love and joy and another is a winter scene... and there is a wonderful silver snowflake..

Thank you so much.. they are so beautiful!

Seems my sub. mail person put my package in the wrong box (happens ALOT!! lately!!!!) and the family that got it had it in their car (meaning to drop it off sooner but always forgot untill they were up the road) finally stopped by last night and dropped it off with lots of apologies, not like it was their fault the mail got waylaid. So I got mine! Its a cute little minnie mouse and also another mickey that honestly I'm stumped over (its kind of like a headless mickey maybe....my son loves it) Unfortunatly I left the package at home with the senders card so I don't remember who it was from (I know I'm bad today) I did notice that it didn't have a "DIS" name just the "real" name. Can I still say thankyou!!
Mine is going out in todays mail. Again I have been bad but I've had sick kids for weeks it seems.

I was getting worried becuase I mailed it off on Nov 17th and the confirmation delivery stated that it was recieved Nov 19th at the town but not your addresss... I figured you were in a small rural area with limited delivery or pickup ( I used to live in that area as well)

There is a card in the envelope with my DIS name.

Of course it will be one of only a few on the tree this year because last spring we were puppy sitting my sons dog and he chewed the lid off the box that held my ornaments and broke alot of them. I was heartsick than and heartsick again last night when I pulled the box out (having pushed the memory to the farthest corners of my mind evidently) and was reminded of the loss. I keep telling myself there just "things" and my son is more important than "things", but man oh man...some of those "things" can't be replaced (like baby ornaments)
Since your DIS name is so "normal" (are any of us here normal??
) I didn't put the two together. So once again Thank you!!!!!!!!! and happy holidays!!!!

<SIZE=3>I got home from work today to find a Priority Mail package at my door! Oh what a wonderful package!

First I pulled out the cutest snowman ornament. He looks like he's made of candies and frosting.....good enough to eat! But I will resist. Very cute!

Next was a wonderful sand dollar ornament with Princess Ariel on it! You are so thoughtful! I love it!

And then came something that gave me goosebumps. A 1963 Corvette Sting Ray ornament by Hallmark. How in the world did you pick this ornament? You see my DH, Brer_Papa and I own a Corvette Stingray! (1974) Did you know? And if you did....how? I don't remember posting about it. You must have ESP! It's perfect!

I'm so sad that the ornaments I mailed 9 days ago have not been reported received. The person I have did not receive her ornament last year until January so I wanted to make sure she had it in plenty of time for Christmas and had a good experience with the exchange this year.

I recived my ornament to day-12/10! Thank you so much to Alwena, for the wonderful ornament( I love it). She sent me a British- "Beefeater" they protect the tower of Londen. I am going to put him on my all Disney christmas tree and then he can protect all the Disney ornaments!!!!!!! And thank you for the candy, I shared it with my mom and was really good! It was really cool to get somthing from the U.K., since I have never been there before! Thanks again.
