I sent/received my Yankee Candle Exchange!

I pick them out with a steak knife! I only use one votive burner, it looks like a clear plant pot, and when the little guy is done, I just chip away.

Her is a good hint, after you remove the wax as best you can, place a folded in hald section of the newspaper on your sheetcake/cookie pan, Place the votive cup upside down on the paper. Place in a 200 degree oven for a while, the wax melts out, the paper absorbs it, et voila, you have a much cleaner holder. Use caution, not everyting is oven safe.

I have had good luck with placing the votive in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Once you take it out, it will pop out. This works great for the tarts as well.

I do freeze the tarts.
Tried it with the votive.........didn't work.
And...I used the knife too, still didn't work. It was scratching my cute holder up......so since only a little bit was left, I just burned another votive in it and this time...dumped it onto a paper towel in the sink. Wiped the inside of the holder out and it worked pretty good........but be careful. The holder is HOT on the bottom ;)

I USUALLY JUST PUT THE VOTIVE HOLDER UPSIDE DOEN IN THE SINK AND RUN OT WATER OVER IT. WHATEVER IS LEFT INSIDE SOFTENS UP ENOUGH TO BE TAKEN OUT IN 1 PEICE WITH A PARING KNIFE.

I am on my work computer and we always use caps only. Anyway - I meant hot water - not oh - haha. Sorry again - good speller - bad typist!!

Paula
p.s. I think this is my 100th post - yippeeeeee!!

You're welcome Susie!!:D Glad you finally got them!!!;)

Enjoy!!!

Try placing your votive holder in the microwave ~ it should soften up the wax enough to get it out! ;)

A word of caution ......... you should not just place a new votive on top of a "done burning" votive because this could cause the votive to burn "crooked" and break your votive holder. Always make sure your wick is centered in the container so the flame doesn't burn uneven, thus breaking your container. (just a helpful hint from a "candle lady"! "I am the candle store that comes to your door"!)
:p :p :p :p

Another tip for getting votives out of the holder. I don't know where I learned it but it does work. Put a little water in the bottom of the holder and then place the votive in. Once the votive is through burning it should come on out. I have never had any trouble getting it out with this method.

Interesting idea, I think I shall try this one out. Thanks, Kirby.
