Hey everyone, maybe this is more of a vent than soliciting advice post but our trip is two days away and it seems like I am the only one really excited here. DS is four and has been to the park for the day a couple of times this year already (he has an AP) so I suppose that is why he is rather indifferent. DH is stressed about the money that has been spent and won't think about anything else.
Our second child is due in the beginning of December so this trip is really special to me. Neither my husband or son seem to really grasp the fact that this will be our last trip all together before we have a newborn and our family dynamic changes again. I just want them to appreciate it and enjoy the three of us before we introduce a high maintenance newborn into our lives again.
It has reached a point where I can't even express my anticipation about anything because it always turns into a money discussion with DH....a reservation, our resort, a food item, anything. Friday night I was in tears because I had brought something up and he turned it into an argument about finances. Everything is paid for at this point except for some dining and frivolous expenses. Yes, we overbudgeted and money is tight but at this point can't we just enjoy it instead of complaining about it?
I just wish I had someone to share each little detail of my excitement with that would appreciate it. DH doesn't hate or dislike Disney by any means but he is just so apathetic about it. I guess I can't see how anyone could possibly be apathetic about a five day trip to WDW.

I'm excited for you and I bet tons of others here are, too! Maybe you won't get your DH to come around until you get there so for now, I say work on your DS. Talk to him about the rides you'll go on, the characters you'll see, etc. And be really excited. Excitement is contagious. Maybe look at videos or pictures from previous trips. And the bonus is, if your DH sees your DS getting excited, he might start to also.

We live in TN and visit Dollywood all the time. Man is he in for a treat. I dont think he will get excited until we get there and he see's how big Disney is. My mom is excited! But my DD has not been all to excited. She is almost 4. I can tell you that I have been a little upset with my Brother and DD. I am so excited that I get to take my Baby Brother to Disney, and he could care less.... URGGGGG. I keep telling myself once we get there he will be bouncing off the walls--- I know he will. Then my dd was getting me down. I would say "Kaylee where are we going for your bday" she would say "disney ---again" Well, yesterday there was a tv show on about Disney and she went NUTS!!!!! Made my day. She kept saying---daddy daddy Disney Oh boy I be there on my bday!!!!
