I'll be going to disney with my girls at the end of October. For the past 2 weeks I have been making reservation and trying to findwhat was best for us. I wanted to make sure that each of our girls would at least get to have a caracter dinner where they would see their favorite princess. Well here comes the screw up.

Since I couldn't get reservation for CRT I decided to go for dinner at 1900 Park Fare to see Cinderalla however the only reservation that I found was 9:30pm. I reserved it but knew it would be too late for the girls so kept looking for a few more days until I found something at the latest 8pm. Well I got it! 8pm on Nov 1 and was delighted and cancelled the 9:30pm. Foward a few days later, I'm double checking the reservations and what did I find... a reservation for 3 people at 8pm 1900 Park Fare. I reserved the wrong amount of seats. I figured it would be a biggy since I could find a single seat for the same time so I called Disney to add that seat to my reservation. Should beeasy right?!? WRONG! They can't add it to my reservation and can't do nothing about it. The CM answer was that I could make that reservation for myself and seat my 4yo triplets together at another table :rotfl2: I she kidding me. I can just imagine what would happen at that table without mommy around :rotfl: Food flying, jumping all over the seats god knows what else. They would be doing the happy dance :dance3:Seriously seat 3 kids on their own... no way!

My girls are well behave but lets not push our luck here. I know they won't do well on their own plus I don't want them to be on their own although having a dinner myself sounds like heaven:lmao: In any case I kept the reservation and keep calling hoping they will find me a table for 4 but am loosing hope. :confused3:

Is there alot of people who cancel their reservation so late in the game or should I simply give up and book something else right away cuz this isn't going to fly with this mommy.

How often is Cinderalla at Akershus. We will be going there to see Aurora and Belle. In 2007 cinderalla was never at the Akershus but I've since seen pictures of here there. Is this new?

Sorry for the venting... I just feel so stupid :scared1: to have done something so stupid and been mentionned such an interesting dinner concept by this young CM.

I don't know if this helps or not, but last year I had reservations made in advance for 5 of us, then my hubs best friend decided to tag along. We never had a problem at any of my ADR's with the number of people eating. And, on our Chef Mickey's day a good friend of ours happened to be in Florida on work (was that an awesome coincidence, we live in maine for goodness sake)...so we had 7 people instead of 5. Noone ever batted an eye at the number difference.

whenever I had to make separate ressies for us... meaning 1 table for 3 and 1 table for 2- we were always together.

One trip I worried because I didn't include a 7 month old in our headcount... I mean really, he's in a highchair. I was told that he did have to be counted and our ressies would cancel. NEVER happened. After all of my stressing. we were always sat without an issue.

We saw cindy at Akerheus in 2008 and 2009. This question gets asked a lot here, andthe general consensus is that while Disney will not commit to Cindy being a regular character there, she in fact is. I haven't seen anyone report lately that she is NOT there.

I had a mishap too. I made a ressie for Akershus and got an early 8:05 ADR...or so I thought. I made it for Sept instead of Dec. Well no early morning Akershus anymore but at least I got one. Just keep checking. Every once in a while I check this months thread to see what people are cancelling. I think people over book some things and then cancel at the last few days or moments. Keep trying keep trying keep trying!!!!:wizard:

We were at Akershus last week and Cinderella was NOT there. It was pic with Belle and then Snow White, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine.

Personally, I would call until I found someone who knows how to modify a reservation. It can be done....I've done it. Not every cm knows how apparently.

If for some reason you can't get the reservation modified, I would just show up with 4. It won't be a problem.

We saw Cinderella there for a 5:00 pm dinner last October. Do they really have tables for only three people? Take your chances and keep your ADR. Maybe you'll have a little Disney magic.

I messed up at 100 PF once too.. It was my own Birthday dinner:guilty:
The times were all wrong, we just walked up to the hostess and explained the situation, and they got us in with 15 minutes, no problem. Just show up for your earlier ADR and explain your problem, most tables are already set up for a party of 4 anyway. Cast members can be really amazing if you are polite and kind to them. I think it will work out for you. Pixie dust coming your way:lovestruc

Let me tell you what I did. Somehow my reservation to 1900 Park Fare was accidentally canceled. I called the hotel directly and asked to speak to the manager of the 1900 Park Fare. The guy (Matt) that answered the phone at the Grand Floridian was so nice, and took a message for the manager to call me. That night she called me and made my reservation no problem! Try that and see if it works!

we were at akershus two weeks ago, no cindy.. pic with belle (the most beautiful belle I've ever seen by they way) then snow white, aurora, ariel and... shoot, I can't remember who but it wasn't cindy.

anyway, I would TOTALLY not worry about having one extra person. there are no tables for 3. Just walk up and say that you actually have 4. I did that at a place or two because originally my boys were not going to be going to a few of the meals and it was no big deal at all. they weren't even really interested in my explanation and just said "this way please" and we were going from 3 to 5 which I thought may have been a bigger issue.

also, we walked into chef mickeys. another mistake... we went to the wrong hotel. it was our first day, we got up late, I couldn't find our reservation for cape may and we showed up at the contemporary instead... ooops, no biggie. sat us immediately.

people really stress about these things but it seems like once you're on property they will do anything and everything to make your trip enjoyable.

good luck and have fun!!! we didn't do 100 park but akershus was awesome!

Thank you ladies for your support and suggestions. I have done one up and managed to get ressies for CRT for 4:30 for all of us. Now I'm sure my girls will see Cindy. :worship:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I read your thread here yesterday and then this morning i recogized your name in the cancelation threads I am so excited for you:) We will be there Oct 28th - Nov1 Maybe we will run into you. We are staying at All Star Movies and surprising our 9 yr old DD with this trip.

Will you be there on Tuesday October 26? I have a 5pm reservation I would be happy to cancel and give to you. We have CRT in the morning. My child does not need to see Cindy Twice in one day, when their is another little princess dying to see her. Let me know!

We at at Akerhaus on 9/22/10 for dinner. Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine all walked around and signed. We got our picture with Aurora. Belle was not there! I felt bad for all the little girls dressed like Belle for their picture. Of course my DD5 says to the CM, "My mom said Belle would be here". I told her Belle was sick, she was just as happy with princess Aurora and she was a nice suprise. DD was wearing a pink disney dress with Belle, Aurora and Snow White, so at least Aurora was on the dress, too :).

CRT had Cinderella for the picture, Belle in her blue dress, Snow White, Ariel and Aurora.

I have never seen a table just for three, all tables seemed to be for 4 or 6 people.
