Hi - First time poster here!

I've been planning our WDW trip since December. We're booked at the Cabins at FW. I made primo dining reservations.

However.... I've been putting off purchasing our park tickets because it's big chunk of change. Last week there was availability for all the parks during our trip (July 19-26). I'm buying the tickets today. I checked availability and now MK isn't available on the day I booked dinner at CRT. OMG. I am freaking out. I see they have park hopper hours now.... what are the odds that we'll be able to get into MK on the days I need it for the dining reservations.... OMG. I am such an idiot. I'm trying not to freak out, but wow... ugh.

There has yet to be a single day where park hopping wasn't allowed to any park. So odds are very good you'll be able to hop to MK, nearly 100%.

You can also keep checking every day. I got a reservation that way to a previously sold out park.

We were there last week and park hopped every day with no issues, including to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon and early evening. It actually seems pretty odd to me how they would know the park capacity to determine ability to park hop at 2 pm, because when you leave a park, you don’t scan out - you just walk out.

I think Disney has lots of data about park hopping, not to mention data linking ADRs in one park to that guest’s park reservations in a different park, etc., to estimate the attendance in the various parks at different times of day and set the park reservation limits to allow for hopping. Also, if they find that a park is becoming too crowded after 2 PM, they can close the park to hopping at any time. Being open to hopping at 2 doesn’t guarantee a certain park will be open to hopping at 4, for example. I won’t be surprised to see MK and Epcot closed to hopping on October 1, because it’s likely that people who have reserved those parks for that day intend to stay all day, and Disney knows that many people who couldn’t reserve those parks would try to hop there.

Well they continue to up capacity, which seems by alot starting in July, as now all those dates in July are fully open

FYI, I logged in an every day of our trip had park availability. Had myself a lil' heart attack for no reason. Geez louise.

Thank you EVERYONE for your comments!! It helped tremendously!!
