I saw the AKV preview at SSR on Wed....

I went to the DVC sales centre for the first time and bought into the AKV. I've been thinking of doing the DVC tour for some time now but I thought my time at WDW is to important to be wasted by some timeshare company. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I was lucky enough to have 4 trips to WDW in the last 18 months for 45 nights at various WDW resorts and just got back 2 hours ago from POFQ. I know i made the right decision to buy into the DVC when instead of doing laundry and unpacking, I'm planning the next trip!!!
If anybody has any ???'s about the AKV, ask away, as we were one of the first people to tour the AKV show suites at SSR.

Lucky you! We've been trying to figure out if we are going to add on to AKV or SSR (our main contracts are there).

Did you find it as dark as the pics seem to show?

DH said to me yesterday, "we should buy Disney shares, maybe we could get some kind of a discount". I of course laughed and said there was no way that Disney was ever going to give a discount to their share holders. But then I added, "the best way for us to be able to have a discount all the time is to buy DVC"....hmmmm....he didn't answer.....maybe that is a good thing

Did you find it as dark as the pics seem to show?

Not really, it seemed like it would have been alot lighter if there had been some natural light. The furniture and cabinets with the dark granite make it seem dark but when the real sunshine starts to pour through the patio doors it will be amazing.

Congratulations and "Welcome Home". Can't wait to see the AKV models in May. We bought in two years ago, after ten years of dreaming, and have had much joy from our purchase.

We took the plunge when we went for our first trip staying onsite in 2004. I caught dh hook line and sinker!!

We went through the model last Saturday March 10 and mulled it over for a couple of days and bought in on Monday the 12th.
