I saw Mickey's face...now I'm a Believer! UPDATED: Final Thoughts/directions to PTR!

After we explored, we relaxed in the room. We were getting picked up for the wedding around 5:00. We arrived at the wedding site around 6:00 (7:00 wedding), and I helped the bride get ready and put Jon in charge of my Camera. The wedding ceremony was beautiful, it was a full Hawaiian ceremony- the bride walked down the isle to somewhere over the rainbow. It was completley with Leis and I cried! Jon attempt to take pictures during the ceremony, but none of them came out well at all :(. Anyways, after the ceremony was the reception (obviously), the reception had a buffet and fire dancer preformers and hula girls! They pulled Jon up to do the hula with one of the girls, it was HILARIOUS. Needless to say, it was a great night.

Thanks! It was easily one of the highlights of the trip watching him hula. Jon is not a huge dancer, so it made me very happy!

I will update sometime soon..hopefully tonight I promise! For now, I am just waiting for December hours to post!!

What a great wedding! The dresses, theming, decor, everything is great! You guys look like you had a ton of fun, too! It's too bad that your trip is coming to an end, but you will be going again soon!

And so begins my last installment of my trip report..

Sunday, August 2

This morning, we slept in just a little till around 8:30. Magical Express would be picking us up around 5:30 for our departure, and we had no parks planned for today, just downtown disney. Originally we planned on eating at T-Rex, but money was running short and we still had meal credits left, so we decided to eat at Planet Hollywood instead. I was sad because I really wanted to eat at T-Rex, but we made the smart choice.

After we packed up, I took some pictures of the room..sorry if the beds look messy..Jon made them :rotfl:

We took a picture of Lake Victoria because Jon's fish (African Cichlids) originate there! It was on the wall paper!

After I took some pictures, we battled with our suitcases, trying to make them each 50 lbs. We finally managed after moving things around and weighing them tons of times! we left our luggage with bell hop (flying SW so we couldn't check them at the resort). After that, we hopped on the bus to Downtown Disney.

The first thing we did was visit the christmas store to pick up our ornament. It took them forever to find it, it didn't help that we didn't have our receipt either, but finally they found it!

After that, we went to Goofy's snack company to use our remaining snack credits. Jon used them to bring back some lollypops etc etc for his workers. While he was waiting with the slowest clerk alive (no really..10 minutes for 10 lollypops? come on..) I took some pictures with my favorite friends:

After that, we walked to Planet Hollywood and snapped some pictures along the way.

We finally got to Planet Hollywood, and enjoyed a fabulous lunch there. It was actually one of the best meals of our vacation, we were surprised! service was great and so was the food!

After lunch, we continued our walk around downtown Disney, we went down to the House of Blues and walked to the back. I never had been on the boardwalk type thing behind it, it was such a pretty walk!

We stopped at the World of Disney to pick up some last minute gifts for people back home. I started to get really sad! We decided to take the bus to the Beach Club, and then walk around the boardwalk. The bus ride was the longest ride ever, but I was excited to check out the Beach Club because it was (at the time) the next Disney Resort I would be at!!

We strolled down to the boardwalk. Let me just say, this is the point where Jon stopped speaking to me because he was so mad that I was going back without him:rotfl: After all that, he was pouting because he didn't want to leave!

And my last two pictures:

After the boardwalk, we took the boat to DHS and took the bus back to AKL. We couldn't weigh our suitcases with our new souviners in them, so we just hoped for the best. Soon, we were on our way back to MCO :( Our suitcases made the cut, we found out we were delayed 2 hours, until 9:45:scared1:. We didn't land until 1:45 am, and crashed around 2:30 in the morning.

Well, ladies, that was my trip extravaganza to Disney World. Next post...last thoughts & directions to my two for one PTR!

My final thoughts:

First of all, as you could all infer, Jon loved Disney World. He won't readily admit it...but during the trip, we discussed where we should bring his parents to stay, where we would bring our kids to stay (decide the Poly was the ultimate little kid location until age 8 or 9, then we'd move on up to the Beach Club or AKL), where we wanted to stay in the future (he really wants to stay at Port Orleans sometime) and what we would do on future trips. Something tells me, there is a new Disney lover in my life:cloud9::love:

The Deluxe Dining Plan was way too much food for us. WAYYY too much. It's just that eating a full meal in 90 degree weather in the middle of the day made us feel so crappy..we decided we wouldn't do it again. It's the basic plan all the way for us!

We were impressed with the way the crowds were managed and we were also satisfied with never having to wait for anything. We were not so impressed with the transportation system! Boo to the busses..but I guess everyone takes a hit when the economy is this bad.

We love, love, love AKL....it really started to feel like home to us while we were there, the animals became "our"animals... so sad to leave there. We especially loved the atmosphere at AKL and that they had actual animal specialists on the savannah overlook to answer our (many) questions.

All in all.. it was a 10/10 trip...good food, good company, good fun. I couldn't have asked for more.

Now my friends, I would like to thank you for following along, you have no idea how happy I am to even have the few readers that I do. If you'll kindly click on the following link, and join me in my next TWO trips in ONE Pre-Trip report...

Rockin' around Cinderella's Castle: Two Holiday PTRs in One!

:sad1: It's over! It was a great trip report!! You guys had so much fun!! I'm so glad Jon liked it! I think you're Disney future is looking good!! Thanks for the great trip report!! I'm on my way over to your PTR now!!

helllo! im back!! and i read your whole TR! sounds like u guys had a great time! and im totally in love with AKL because of your TR and wanna stay there next time! hehe

so jealous ur doing another TR right now!! lucky duck!

That was a great ending! I am always sad to leave. I feel like I should start getting flights first thing in the morning instead of night flights home. That way, I could just get up and we could go home and not have to spend the day knowing that we are going home in a few hours?? But there has to be a "last" day at some point. Oh well! There is always next trip!!
