I saw Mickey's face...now I'm a Believer! UPDATED: Final Thoughts/directions to PTR!

Aww what a nice day!! Sea World is fun, I liked the shows. I loved the penguins too, so cute!! I'm glad you liked Raglan Road, I think we need to try it again. On our last visit there the food wasn't the greatest but I think perhaps it was just an off day.

SeaWorld looks SO fun! Cant wait to feed the dolphins and sealions!!! :lovestruc

Glad to hear you guys enjoyed it so much!

And that you loved Raglan Roads! Craig is just so excited to eat there! :goodvibes

Hey ladies! I booked our CSR WDW trip today and bought our plane tickets! November 13-November 17, 4 nights 5 days in the Wonderful World of Disney..with Jon, and his mom and dad. In the same room...:lmao: that will be the trip report to read my friends!

Just wanted to share my good news. Hopefully I'll be updating sometime soon!

Woohoo!! Congrats!! :woohoo: I'm so jealous!! Ooo I can't wait to read that TR!!

So we left off with our Raglan Road & Seaworld Day...

Thursday, July 31

Originally we planned on doing AK in the morning, then just relaxing. All we had left to do at AK was EE. Instead, we decided to go to Epcot for the Rope drop.

We got there right around 8:40, and there was virtually no one there. However, there was a super long wait at the bag line. So, I made a discovery that I wish I had made at the beginning of our trip: my camera case fits in my pocket! So, I didn't have to get it searched :woohoo:

Anyways, we found Epcot's opening show really bland..nothing fancy. It was cool how they all have big hands though! I told Jon that I would run for Soarin' FP's...because I had heard about the rush. So, when they let us in, I weaved my way through the crowd almost to the front, and let me tell you, I feel like I almost lost my life! It was such a life/death situation! I finally got to the FP machines, and got my 3 fastpasses with a return time of 10:28 or something crazy like that.

After that, we rushed to Test Track. The wait said 20 minutes, but it was more like 25. We rode that, and loved it as always. We then spotted the white cat from Aristocrats out in the center of Future world, and I had to get my picture taken with her! And, I made Jon do it too. He would KILL me if I posted that picture up here. He was so mad!

After we saw her, we went into Club Cool to kill some time before our Soarin' FP return time. I made Jon try Beverly (he heard a CM laugh when I made him try it, and didn't understand until after)

After, we took some pictures by the fountain and headed to Soarin'. This was our first time EVER on Soarin and we both loved it!

After Soarin', we hopped to AK. We had to do EE and wanted to do the Safari again, plus we had a Tukser House reservation..

This is where we had a super weird fastpass encounter! Apparently, they are trying out a system where the fastpasses are all in one spot, not at the separate rides. I couldn't stand the heat anymore, so Jon waited in the line. When he got there, the CM said something was wrong with the system, and it was allowing people to get FP for every ride!!!:scared1::woohoo: It was SOOO WEIRD! So Jon grabbed FP for Everest and KS. We decided to check out the standby line for Everest, as our fast pass return time wasnt till 1:20 and it was only around 10:30 at this point. The wait was only half an hour, so we waited. We loved it..no yeti though. After, we went to our Tusker House reservation. We loved Tusker House too! After Tusker House, we went on the safari again.

After our Safari, we decided to leave the park. We were hot and tired. The plan for the night was to go to the boardwalk.

We got back to the hotel, and relaxed for awhile.

Now if you recall, and read, my PTR, you remember my debate of going to the Bridal Shower/Bachelorette party. I had decided not to go....

continued in next post..

Around 3:30, I got a text from the bride, basically begging me to go. Now, I really didn't want to go. I wasn't going to go to the bachelorette party, that was for sure, but the bridal shower..as a bridesmaid..i really should go. She said she would come get me and the groom would bring me back, and that Jon could come hang out with the groom during the shower, etc etc...she made me feel SO GUILTY, I had to say yes. Jon wasn't too happy with me, but because he's a good guy, we went along with it. I moved my Flying Fish reservation to later, around 8:45 and told her we had to be home by then.

The Bridal shower took us forever to get to because of all the traffic. By the time I got there, I only had a littlebit of time to hang out before we had to turn around and go back. She was happy I came though. I had too much wine, as you can tell...

Love the cake topper!

After the Bridal shower, the groom brought us to the Boardwalk. At this point, I started to feel really sick, but went into Flying Fish trying to be positive. We were seated, and I started to feel really sick, not to mention I didn't like anything on the menu. I'm going to skim over this part of the report, but I spent awhile sick in the bathroom. Jon enjoyed all the food, it was great-- but I was sick, and a good time was not had by all. We grabbed a cab back to our hotel, because I didn't want to try to get back via Disney Transportation. Thus ends the worst (half) day of our trip..at this point.. I was hoping tomorrow would be better!

:thumbsup2Great report so far, I can't believed I missed it till today. I loved the Beverly pic & don't want to get you into trouble, but I would love to see the pic of Jon & Marie the cat.

Congrats on your 2 trips, I can't wait to read about them.

Thanks for the Seaworld info, we're going to DC & Seaworld next month. How much was the shuttle? We have 14 day tickets & may want to go more than once so we can see everything.

Sorry you got sick, hope you got better quickly.

The shuttle was 18$ per person, round trip. So 9 dollars each way. For the convenience it provided (and to not have to use public transportation) it was WELL worth it. Thanks for joining in my TR! Do you have a PTR for your upcoming trip?

No, I don't have a PTR yet. I'm a great procrastinator. I know I need to get busy & write it but I'm having trouble coming up with a catchy title. I was thinking about "The Great Procrastinator's 14-Days of Fun" but that's not intriguing enough.

I'm glad Jon is still enjoying himself! What an awesome bonus :cool1:

Can I tell you how jealous I am of you getting to go TWO months in a row! UGH! I'm hoping we can get together in December!!!

I think that was super sweet of you to go to the shower, even though you weren't planning on that! I'm guessing she really appreciated that!

Bummer that you got sick...I feel your pain...but not quite that bad! Did you drink too much wine :cool2: ???

Awwww! Sorry you didn't feel well! That stinks when you put so much into planning something and it gets wrecked by an illness or bug!

Aww you're such a nice person to go to the party even though you didn't want to. She must have really appreciated it (at least she better!! ;)) I'm sorry you got sick, hopefully that won't happen again! Aww Marie (the cat from aristocats) is too cute!! I wish I could have seen her!! I agree with tink1957, I don't want to get you in trouble either but I would love to see that pic of Jon!! I'm so glad Jon is still having fun!!

Thanks everyone for your responses! sorry it's been so long since I updated. I've been super busy! On with the show!!

We left off after I was sick at FF. We went to bed early, and I woke up nice and early feeling much better. Today we decided that we wanted to do MK's rope drop, then take the monorail over to Epcot for Le Cellier. At night, we were going to the rehearsal dinner!

Friday, August 31

We woke up and as usual ate our breakfast at the Mara. We hopped on the bus to MK, i hid my camera in my pocket (this saved so much time!!!), and successfully went through the turnstiles. I turn around, expecting to see Jon behind me, but he is still standing at the turnstiles..apparently his ticket stopped working! Anyways, the CM came back with a brand spankin' new ticket for him...with minnie mouse on it!!! mine had pluto and his had goofy originally...it was just too funny that he got minnie!

We watched the morning show, it was awesome! so fun. We were all the way to the left, and walked briskly down main street. Our goal was to get to BTMR and ride that, then do some other things. It was so empty! I can't express how much we were in love with going to the parks so early! We were the second train to leave, and loved it!!!
616.jpg

After, we decided to head towards HM to go on it again. We walked right on. Loved it just as much the second time! This is the crowd around 9:30 AM--

620.jpg

After we did HM again, we went into Mickey's Phillharmagic. I had never been on this before, and I loved it! We walked in just in time for a showing. After this, we went to see when the Hall of Presidents would have it's next showing- it was still half an hour away- so we went and shopped around fantasyland, and I checked out Cinderella's fountain! there are so many things that are so easy to miss at the Magic Kingdom!

630.jpg

After we looked around, we went and did the Hall of Presidents. We loved it! It was so cool! We decided to head for the monorail and get to Epcot!

While we were waiting for the monorail at TTC for Epcot, we saw such a disturbing scene- a little boy was swinging on the metal railings, and he sat down on the bottom part of one and was leaning backwards. His father kept telling him to stop, he just kept ignoring his father. He fell backwards, and smacked his head on the cement- so hard that we felt it 5 lines over, and it was loud enough to quiet everyone there. He started screaming, his father just picked him up and told him to stop crying!!! If that was my kid, I would have gotten him to a doctor asap- i feel like that hard of a fall could possibly be a concussion! However, I was not the parent and I digress.

We got on the monorail to Epcot, and enjoyed the ride. We made it to Le Cellier just in the nick of time, when they were singing the anthem! We were seated right away. I enjoyed all the food here, loved the pretzel bread and most of all loved my dessert!

Next, we had some time to look around the world and do some last minute shopping.

After we shopped around, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the rehearsal dinner. we didn't have much time before we needed to be picked up for the rehearsal at 4!

The rehearsal was a bit chaotic- not everyone in the party showed up (don't ask me why)- but we went through everything anyways. After, we headed to TGIFridays Sport's grill. It was a good dinner!

After the dinner, the bride brought us back to our hotel. It was only around 8:30, so we decided to go relax in the hot tub. We picked up a bottle of African wine, and when we got back to the hotel room, we drank it out of coffee mugs:laughing:. It was awful wine! Either way, we relaxed on the balcony and enjoyed each other's company, then went to bed.

Next: AKL Pictures and the wedding!

What a nice and somewhat relaxing day! I love the changes they made to Hall of Presidents. Mmm pretzel bread!

Finally caught up on your TR!! Thanks for sharing, I love the photos.

Reading and looking at your photos make me miss the days when it was just my DH and I exploring the parks. I admit taking my DD is extremley special, and I wouldn't change it for the world, but I do miss it just being DH and I sometimes. :rolleyes1 I tell myself that one day we'll go again just the two of us, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to leaving my daughter at home with family while we go to WDW, just wouldn't be fair. ;)

I look forward to reading more.popcorn::

Great update! We are hopefully going to be trying Le Cellier on this coming up trip!! I'm pretty excited :cool1: I'm also pretty excited to see your pictures from the wedding!!

My stomach did a flip-flop when you described that poor little boy's head hitting the cement  How selfish of his parents not to take him directly to first aid at least!

Loved the pic of the empty MK! Sometimes I love the park being empty and the feeling of having it all to yourself but then it's just not the same feeling without at least a small crowd to add to all the fun of using the FP line and walking ahead of a long line ;)

You guys are having a great trip so far - loved Jon's face at his reaction to the Beverly drink :rotfl:

I agree about the FP line! Sometimes, it was just a walk-on ride, and you can't always judge because the ques are inside. Thanks for commenting!

You will love Le Cellier! The dessert was so yummy-so was the pretzel bread- although it was a really heavy lunch for us, I'd recommend it more for dinner! Wedding pics are up next!

Thanks for stopping by! Jon and I had a great time together- but I can't wait till we have a little one (or 4) that we can take on our trips with us :cutie:

Hey everyone! We left off with our relaxing Friday night. Saturday was the day of the wedding, we had Boma reservations for 10:20 and were going to relax for the day, then head to the wedding at night.

Saturday, August 1

We woke up earlier than anticipated- i tried to sleep in, I swear! We headed down to Boma to see if we could get in early, at 10:00. We could. We ate. We weren't impressed :confused3. I guess Boma for breakfast isn't as fun as for dinner- it wasn't unique, it was nice to have a change from the Mara, but really wasn't anything to write home about.

After we ate, we walked around and took some pictures of the resort.
