I actually liked it.....not loved it, but liked it.;) It was not as long and boring like POTC was! Liked the "after credits ending too.";)

Saw it today and enjoyed it gave us a Disney fix we needed to get us by til our trip::yes:: :hyper: :wave2:

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE CREDITS?!

We usually try to stay, but DD has this thing - once the movie's over, she's obsessed with getting out of the theater as quickly as possible. We've never figured out why. So we didn't stay this time.

You always have to wait until after the credits! It'll remind you of the ride. ;)

Warning...Possible Spoiler...Warning

BTW...does anyone else think that one of the singing busts looks like Walt Disney?

My DH and I thought the bust looked like Walt Disney too!

Did anyone else catch the mickey mouse shaped lock? Or the Donald Duck in the clouds? Or am I just missing Disney too much?

I agree, I liked the movie, not loved it. I'd like to go see it again because it is the closest I will come to Disney for a while.

We really enjoyed it as well! We'll be buying it once it's release on DVD.

Yes I saw the Mickey shaped lock, no I didn't see DD in the clouds!

The "critics" are really giving the movie a bad rating, everything from one star to a "D"!

Oh well...I really liked it and that's all that matters!

"The Haunted Mansion" (sorry - probably repetitive - search is down) No spoilers!

DH and I (two of the largest Haunted Mansion fans on the planet) saw this movie this weekend. We liked it. Didn't love it. My thoughts...

It is not as bad as the reviews say it is. (Are Disney movies ever as bad as the critics say?)

While the special effects were as cool as the ones in "Pirates," the story/script was much weaker. This made it come across as kind of hokey.

The inside of the house (set) itself is amazing. Simply really cool!

Poor Eddie Murphy. He is the weakest link. His character isn't likable. He's a buffoon - even as a hero. This is unfortunate, as I'm sure Disney cast him because he could bring "name" power to the film.

Parents - there's really only one significantly scary scene (in a cemetery/cript) - and it's really not that big of a deal compared to most stuff kids are used to seeing.

I have to agree that I too was disappointed in this movie. I liked it, but didn't love it. It seemed to start out OK, but then it got really "hokey" towards the end. My son of course loved it and can't wait until it comes out on DVD.

Yes I thought one of the Busts looked like Walt too!;) At the end of the very looonnnnggggg credits, Leota comes back and says: "Come visit us soon, don't forget your "death certificate.";)
