I will say it was a very funny movie...

HOWEVER....definetly crosses the line of good taste! Goes way over that line!!! Not a family flick by any means!

Go if you don't mind a bit of male nudity...a good bit of it...but be prepared to be offended at least once!

The thing I love most about Borat is how in his feigned ignorance he manages to get people to show their true colors. It's pretty brilliant really. And some people have complained he is "too anti-semitic" which I find just a tad amusing considering Sacha Baron Cohen is a devout Jew who wrote his college thesis on the Jewish involvement in the American civil rights movement :)

I'm going to see it this weekend and can't wait :thumbsup2

I've heard some great things aobut the scenes where he gets the bigots to show their true colors before realizing they were part of a film. :thumbsup2

Cardaway, I think there was more than one scene like that...

I just have a picture of him in front of Victoria's Secret burned in my mind...I walked out of the theater finding the whole movie pretty funny, but I have to say I was pretty shocked as well!

Ah, I went to see this last night!

Hilarious (and of course, offensive)! Cannot believe that he did some of those things though - he seemed to put himself in some dangerous situations!

cardaway - I don't think he ever told them that he was faking it... I get the impression that they thought they were really taking part in some documentary for Kazakhstan :rotfl: I think the first they found out was probably when they heard of the movies 'Borat'.

I think my favourite scene was at the Rodeo in Texas. The producer was incredibly racist and homophobic (Borat said something about hanging gay people and the guy was like 'well that's what we're trying to do!'), and he got the entire crowd to cheer with him about the hope of Bush drinking the blood of all the women and children of Iraq! Although I did also love the guy who very seriously told Borat that the best car for getting women who are 'shaved down below' was a Corvette :lmao:
