I remember most of them !

I remember a few of those. I still eat raw jelly:goodvibes

I loved spangles and pacers.
do you remeber space dust and flying saucers?
wham bars? yum yum.
pizza flavour crisps?

golden wonder sausage and tomato flavour crisps?

Ooh spangles, i'd forgotten them and Blobs. Pacers were called opal mints before pacers, now i'm showing my age:rotfl:

Anyone remember Treets? Peanut Treets and Toffee Treets?
and Cadburys cream bears?

Anyone remember the test card?

Did you play elastics as well? These days it would probably be seen as a strangulation health hazard

Arr French Skipping, those were the days. Though my biggest memory of growing up was definitely Tiswas - "We sing the song, the bucket of water song" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

thats true Carol, there was no such thing as shops being open on a Sunday, I tink our local one used to stay open until midday !

And don't forget shops closing on Wednesday afternoon. Our local toyshop only stopped doing this in the last couple of years, i think our post office still does!

I worked at our local post office until a couple of years ago, and we closed on a Wednesday afternoon !
I had forgotton about pacers, I wasn't allowed spangles, for some bizarre reason my mother was convinved I would choke on one ...

i LOVED pacers, and had completly forgotton what they were called :thumbsup2

Well I am glad I have jogged so many memories as I was a bit of a Pacer addict :thumbsup2 Staying on the sweet theme, anyone remember Quirks?

But the best thing of all were penny sweets. You can't get anything for a penny now, all those sweets now come in pick n mix which costs a fortune!

I used to love Pippa dolls, and I remember how their legs used to click so you could sit them down.....I broke so many Pippas by making their legs all loose cause I was too rough with them :rotfl:

A factory near where I live specializes in ancient sweets, no the Arthur Negas ones tho, like from world war one.

As anyone mention mojo's yet, winter nips (oo err):confused3 , sherbet dab, what about the tattoo's with the really hard chewing gum, and the other tattoo's with smiley faces that had speg that tasted of germoline.

Our sweetie shop/newsagent still does penny sweets and they have quite a large collection I just love the white mice

Oh and I must be sooooooo much younger than all you because I haven't got a clue what pacers are, unless they just didn't find there way to Suffolk, not much did :rotfl2:

Oh did anyone else used to get a sugar mouse in their stocking? And of course the tangerine and some nuts

I did and ds2.5 got one this year from Nanny but it was in a clear wrapper, the ones i used to get were just loose!

I found some Wham bars in a local cafe and bought a couple for me and dh, they were much much smaller than i remember and not nearly as nice:sad2:

Bazooka Joe bubble gum with the little comics...
Sherbet dabs and also those tubes of sherbet with the liquorice stick in it

Standing at the shop with 6pence and deciding how to spend it. It was an adventure!!

How about those troll's that were such a rage?!

My biggest favourite was nutty logs, that was in the days when chocolate was sold unwrapped :)
