am I right in assuming pins are specific to person it is mailed to? my friend got 2 and offered them to me......sigh.....I don't think I can use them....

You are correct with your assumption. Only way you could take advantage is if your friend went with you and was part of the same reservation. You could have multiple rooms. On the Dessie, but the person named in the pin code has to be a member of the party.
