So we haven't received a PIN in over a year, and in the past 2 weeks, i have been sent 2. The first was for 10% off select resorts (in all categories), and the most recent is for 20% off select resorts in all categories. I believe updating my profile on the WDW site, and requesting a DVD got me these PIN's sent to me (via email). We are looking at going in October of this year. We would LOVE to stay at the POLY (dream resort for us!) with family friends that are going, but i'm not sure 20% off is going to be enough for us to financially swing it! i am in NO way complaining that i got a discount, but was hoping for a little more of a percentage off! Does anyone know if they still give out the 20,30,40 PIN? Thats how we were able to stay at the CR in December 2010. For 2 adults, wanting to stay at the Poly, a room discount works out MUCH better for us, than if free dining is offered (which we don't even know yet, just going by discounts in past years).

Glad you got some PINS! What were the dates of the offers?

The dates for both PIN's were 10/1/12-10/4/12 and 10/8/12-10/31/12.I was sent the 10% off one first. I had said i wanted to go in October when i filled out the request for the planning DVD. (This was just in an effort to be sent a PIN!, sad, i know, but it worked!)

Same here, but my PIN's arrived about a month apart. Same dates as yours though. I had done the same online because I knew when we were planning on going and I was just trying to get a budget idea. I knew we were going to book. I booked on Jan. 3rd and 2 days later got my first PIN. I had my TA apply that and it saved us a little.

Well, today, I got another PIN in the mail. Same dates. And the new DVD also arrived. So I tried plugging it in online and it saves me even more than the first one. So I'm calling my TA tomorrow and giving her this code to see if she can apply it.

So excited!!!

Oh, and our dates actually roll into November, but I could still use them.

I'm sure this is somewhere on the board so I'm sorry for asking the question again but how do you ask about the PIN when you call? Do you just ask first if there's a PIN associated with your name or try to make a reservation and then ask if there's a PIN? I want to try to sound as not stupid as possible when I try this. LOL
Thanks in advance.

You can just call and ask if there is a PIN.

As the OP mentioned (and I did the same), go to the Disney website and price out some trips as to when you want to go and save them. (You have to be registered with the Disney website which is free and easy to do.) And order the planning DVD's too. Every time you get your name out there with Disney, the better.

You can plug the pin codes online to get quotes? I thought the only way was to call and have them give the quotes?

On the mailing that I got, there is a web address. It says Book Online at ... and it gives a disney.com/_____ address. This was a slightly different address from the last mailing.

It does also give the option of calling or contacting you Travel Agent. This particular one says to book by 3/14.

The PIN I received also expires 3/14,and when I try to price it out online, and put my info in including the PIN number, it gives me an error message saying it's either expired or invalid. Guess I have to call, though I'd prefer to price it out online.

That's weird. I'm guessing it has a special website address on yours too. Mine worked with no problem. In fact, I think I put it in twice. Once at home and once at work.

Yes, it was a special area on the site that popped up once I clicked on the " book now" option. It had automatically filled in my PIN for me, and I had to enter my last name and zip code, and then the error message popped up, frustrating! I prefer to price things out myself instead of over the phone, oh well, guess I'll have to call!

My PIN # didn't pop in. I had to type that in myself. I wonder if it had the old disney.com web address in there. I had 2 different web addresses for my 2 different PIN #'s. I assume you did too.

Ok, I just thought about that and realized it doesn't make any sense. LOL. How would it have the new pin and the old address.

I can understand your frustration. I am the same way. Let me check it myself instead of having to call.

We are heading down in November 2013 but I had been pricing and saving packages for this November. Got a PIN in the mail today so we decided to book!! Next year is a big family trip, this year will just my by DH and 2 DDs...first time just the 4 of us! I can't even believe it!!! I about fell off my chair when the CM gave me the offer. We're going to surprise our DDs and it's going to be a week before their 7th birthday!
