We've all been there, seen that great souvenir and said we will get it later and then got home and remember it. It is not so bad if you are local or travel frequently but when you know you probably won't be back for another 5 years it is a problem.

Almost as soon as we got home I remembered I really wanted a 2015 photo frame for a craft project I had planned. My first step was to look at the disneystore.co.uk website which has park merchandise, but this was no help as they only have Disneyland Paris products. The next step was to go to eBay where I did find my picture frame which retails in the parks $14.95 but was being sold for $35 with another $30 shipping charge to the UK. As I really wanted it for my project I paid the money!

So my top Disney Tip is:

Always buy your must-have souvenir when you see it, don't leave it until later!

Has there ever been an item that you really wish you had bought but then either regretted it or paid much more for it later?

What was my project?

I wanted to build a digital photo frame using a small Raspberry Pi computer and a screen to display my vacation photos and show Disney News!

That is such a cute idea! I hate to tell you this but I bought that exact frame in the Disney Character Warehouse store in Orlando for $5 on clearance! I can't believe how much they were selling it for on eBay! What a rip off!! But I'm glad you got it and your project came out great. :) I always feel like I should have gotten more while I am there, then I end up in the Disney Store in the airport getting last minute items before I board the plane! lol

well I am in the I go a lot category but you can always go on the shop app and buy it there if you forget it and some times they have free shipping

Some items are not available on the app, though. My son missed out on a Star Wars magic band.

I missed buying the oval frames from the silhouette people. The only place to get those is on site. Fortunately, a friend was going and she picked some up for me:)

Don't laugh but I kinda wish I bought a 17" Duffy Bear with either a Stitch costume or the Mickey in the park costume. I choked on the price...and am still on the fence about it in general (do I really want another dust magnet??) but....

Edited to add: I ended up ordering Duffy and costumes from disneystore.com, but when they came I realized my first instincts were correct...I don't really want them...so sent them back.

Sadly, I used paypal and disneystore return policy only gives merchandise credit.

I wanted to buy the monorail wallet & I figure I would be there the next month. Well the next month it WAS NOT there. I was so disappointed.

We live in a pretty small apartment and don't have any basement, attic or garage to store things. Consequently, I am really not a "stuff" person. Everything we buy needs to be small and functional. We take a lot of pictures, though.

I wish I had bought the Tervis wine goblet from last years food and wine. That will be the first thing I buy this year!

I used to keep a list of things I wanted to buy then have one huge shopping trip at the end of the trip. Only took missing out on a few things to learn my lesson. Now I buy souvenirs as I see them.

I still kick myself for not buying the German mouse ears in the Germany area in Epcot.

We're going back, so i'll get them then (fingers crossed.)

I'm not a big souvenir person, I'm more of a let me buy 5 Mickey cake pops and a candy apple souvenir type of person. I forgot to buy cake pops in January the entire trip I was craving for MONTHS before. I don't know how I could of forgot!

I'm not big on souvenir's either, but I always try to get one "something" that speaks to me. I really like the mash up or crosses that you see, i.e. Mickey, Donald, etc. in Star Wars scenes. In the Art of Disney store at Disney Springs, they had a whole section of it, but none of it appealed to me. Since Stitch is a favorite, what I REALLY wanted was Stitch in a Star Wars scene. What I happily settled for was a print of Stitch in a Pirates of the Caribbean scene (HUGE fan of the series, so it worked out).

Our next trip if I see something I want as long as it's not overly expensive I'm just going to buy it so I don't regret it when I leave. I have spending money put aside so I'm definitely doing some shopping this trip. I also have to stock up on the Minnie Bake Shop Cookies which I did last time.

Stitch yoda. He was out of stock at MK, and instead of going to one of the other parks to get him, we decided to get it our next trip in two months. Of course, he was completely gone by then.

Back when DH and I were dating (married 16 years now!) he saw a big stuffed Pumba with bugs in his mouth. I laughed, not realizing he was serious about wanting it. :confused3 A year later he was still talking about it, so I bought him one off eBay for Valentine's. :cool1:

The Cogsworth clock. Two trips and didn't get it. Now he is discontinued :headache:

Maybe he will come back with the release of the new BOG movie next year. If not, Amazon has it for $37 more than what the parks sold it for.
I was going to say the Cogsworth clock! I love it but I everytime I see it I feel bad for spending the money, Has it been discontinued? I just saw it at DLR in May.
