I really, really want a new digital camera

Thanks everyone!!!! I do really love my very old Nikon P&S camera. its an old one touch 100 that I got from my parents 16 years ago. I have never had any problems with it, the camera has shot thru 8th grade camera class, graduations, our wedding, birth of DD and our 1st disney trip. I am not replacing it, just supplimenting it because I love the digital versatility. That said I have alot of faith in the Nikon name and Dh & I are hunting down a store where I can hold and try the Nikon, and find a package with the basic lense everyone has written about. Thanks!!!!!!!
